My faves: Ívar Daníels (Make Me wHole), Friðrik Ómar or Tara Mobee.
And "favorite" is a strong word here.

Re: ICELAND 2019

I haven't listened to all the songs yet. In fact, I went straight to just one. My hands were literally (I'm not joking) up in the air during the final chorus of Hera Bjork's song. Wow. What an absolute stunner. It's so soulful and powerful. It sounds like it could be a Donna Burke (of Metal Gear Solid soundtrack fame) song. I'd kill for this at Eurovision. Could potentially end up my favourite song of this whole NF season. What an amazing first impression. I need to experience the live performance of it. It's going to be quite something.

I wanted disco number late 90s, early 00s Mf style! xcry :(
Did you like her ESC entry in 2010, and her Dansk MGP entry in 2009?

Yes, Je ne sais quoi is legendary. It literally caused a volcano to erupt, disrupting travel across Europe, forcing people to reach the contest by boat. Can't get much more iconic than that. Her Danish attempt was nice enough too.

This song for 2019 is everything though. I'm smitten for it. I'll allow it to be a ballad because it's a ballad done so well, with so much warmth and power to it, and the melody is beautiful. Both versions are lovely, but Icelandic one I think is better.

Without having heard the songs, my early fave is Hatari, I hope they won't disappoint with their song

I heard the songs quickly, some of them are weak and flat like the past years ... I mean no news about them, the usual soup that doesn't go anywhere! Maybe some light on stage in Tel Aviv might come thanks to Hatari and the other trio.

Only one thing is clear: Iceland needs to be represented by three people at once in 2019
xhmmm

I know.. they both stand out. And it's a pretty weak line-up (i don't think any of them would make it to my top 15 in romania & moldova)

I just think it would be cool if they send somthing like that to eurovision

I actually ADORE Elli grill, Skaði og Glymur - "Jeijó, keyrum alla leið"! LOL
Can't wait to see it live.. :D
have to check English version..
I even prefer them to Hera Bjork  But on second listen Hera's ballad has grown on me, it is really, as RainyWoods has pointed out, a high quality composition, and vocals are stunning..

Another weak line up from Iceland, our saving grace is Hatrið mun sigra IMO, maybe Elli Grill Skaði & Glymur as well, but I really wanna see some techno punk in Eurovision

I have high hopes that Hatari will deliver some INSANE staging. #HatredShallPrevail

Re: ICELAND 2019

A much better lineup than last year! I'll need some more time to make a proper decision but at the moment I think my favourite is one of Hatari, Hera Bjork and Ivar Daniels.

Wondering why Elli grill, Skaði og Glymur has already more dislikes than likes on Youtube?

Re: ICELAND 2019

So I was about to come and sing the praises of the iconic Hera Björk and her return to the Esk stage which nothing was allowed to spoil, but then RainyWoods sent me this:

And I have been asked to root *against* Hera Björk in a national final, which I honestly did not think was possible. This is so %^&*ing epic, I can't even. That key change surprise. They sound like some kind of unholy Minor Threat/Robert DeLong lovechild. How amazing. Thank you, Iceland.
