Actually it does, for example, if a singer has a good song, sings it well, but is a douche in interviews, won't give autographs etc. people won't like the artist as much, and the artist might lose votes because of that.

So they're allowed to fool the public until the super final then? Well that's even worse than I thought... atleast it would have been honest to enter the final with the version which they aimed for...
It's a rule to have the lyrics in Icelandic, it was added this year that it can be on another language in the superfinal, so no one could be fooling.

Thank you for pointing that out, Eurovision should have diversity, not a certain type of songs battling, and it's about time that Iceland sends a fun song to the contest.

Not sure if you're joking, but I get disliking a song. I just don't get all the zeros and 12's in almost every poll. There are 9 numbers for you to choose in between, and that's what makes it fun to me. but yeah... I can't decide for others, and it's just a poll in the end

If you actually look at his comments, he actually wants the same type of song from every country. "fun" songs, whatever that means. I consider fun songs to simply be ones I enjoy listening to. Beethoven's 9th is a fun piece of music, because I enjoy listening to it. He is trying to pigeon-hole what ESC is supposed to be about.

If you're referring to me, I've ony talked about sending Pollapönk to Eurovision, because it's about time Iceland sends a fun song to Eurovision, and for me, as I said, it's supposed to be diversed, not just ballads or just pop or just "fun" songs, there are always going to be songs that are obviously not going to the final, I don't care if Iceland doesn't qualify, it will be amazing to see them in Copenhagen, and I look forward to listening to other songs.
