Most ESC-fans hated Suus but the rest of Europe liked it - what does that tell about ESC-fans?
That Eurovision fans have godawful taste

And what about Serbs from Kosovo! What a cheap propaganda!

That they forcefeed on schlager and are too stubborn to give other things a try, this is fact.
That Eurovision fans have godawful taste
Scuse me! Prime Eurofan here - adore Alcazar, as do you. So yeah - case shot down
Suus for me had zero melodic appeal. I need a song to either speak to me lyrically or musically, and since i couldn't understand the lyrics it had to be all about the music. And for me, it was just an ugly mess. And the performance, rather than pained and emotional, seemed possessed and desperate.
Someone put her out of her misery... it's the kindest thing to do...
Gosh, I actually remember the hatred for "Suus" around the time of it's win. It was unreal. That's why I actually joined this forum as I saw literally every single person laying into Rona and the song. I wanted to speak up for her and argue why her song was so special and extraordinary to me. It was a hard few months but everything paid off in the end
Sometimes I just want a pure, delicious piece of pop perfection like Alcazar has given us this year but I can also go very deep into music. I'm actually guessing you'd despise half the music I listen to outside of ESC You call Suus an ugly mess, I call it raw and brutally honest.. and that appeals to me. I can understand the things you want from music and those things I certainly want in my pop as well. I think we probably share a pretty similar taste in pop songs. I just have two sides to me... and the dark, emotional side of me loves and respects Rona's "Suus" more than anything else in the world. It makes me sad to see people that don't feel what Rona puts across but I totally understand those that are alienated by it.
hahahha yes that was the reason she did well, keep on dreaming! ahahahah ;lol;
And not the fact Kosovar diaspora is so big and so hungry to see Kosovo participating at ESC!!
And she is from Prshtina!
So no, that you wrote was the reason of her success! LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL3333
I like your dreamer side of personality very much.. But sometimes it must touch a reality a bit I'm afraid..

Ummm excuse me, I didn't say that me sticking up for her is why she did well. I was stressing how the months of believing in her, I was right to do so. Rona could succeed despite the overwhelming hatred towards her and her song. I had faith that her song would touch hearts and that I wasn't the only one who felt something from it.. and in the end she did reach out. You seem to think it was all diaspora but Rona was certainly no Mona Mihaela Trifu. Amongst all the hatred you could also find the most passionate comments from people who were touched by Rona's song and those messages you just wouldn't get for any old song. They were deep.
Anyway gosh, let's stop talking about her now as she doesn't really have any relation to the Hungarian entry this year
Because a diaspora of a tiny region like Kosovo could solely vote her into the Top 5 of Eurovision. Yes, that's definitely it...
Music is polarising - that's what is so special about it, and why we have such a diverse and varied selection of styles in existence today.
Despite my love for amazing pure power-pop, I also have a very sensitive and emotional side. I have connected with a number of songs on a deeply emotional level and they have helped me through my darkest days. I am not having a go at you for finding that same connection in Suus, I merely just didn't get that same effect from the song, and funnily enough I now more often seem to find only people with undying praise for Suus which astounds me in all honesty.
But yeah, different horses for different courses - you'd be surprised at the playlists I have on my computer and phone. Everything from Alcazar to Avenged Sevenfold to Patti Labelle and even a little bit of Gabriel Faure (Pavane is a glorious piece of music - gives me goosebumps everytime )
But time to get back to Hungary - the song deals with a difficult topic very subtly without trivialising, and for that I believe it should be commended.
The problem is that if someone doesn't like a song, they'll find all sorts of things wrong with it...lol
I actually like the song, I even started this conversation by saying that. I liked it so that I sort of started paying more atention to the lyrics until I grew unseasy. It's not really the song, or liking or disliking we're talking about. Sorry, but I believe you're missing most points here
