Re: MAGYARORSZÁG - Hungary 2011

Actually I found a great song from the singer Linda Kiraly. It`s a possible top 10 song

It's pretty good, but I want something more "Hungarian". This is just an American song more or less. The Hungarian language is really cool!

Something like these songs would be really good:

Holdviola A little bit like NOX, but with a better singer. This is maybe a little more alternative than NOX.

Veca From X-Factor. She is a good singer, but I use the song as an example of what I would like to hear from Hungary :p

@ A-Lister... Veca is supposedly interested in ESC. There's a rumor (in the press) that she will apply. Hope that it's true.

I see! Well she has a good voice indeed! My use of that clip though wasn't necessarily to promote her though, more to show examples of what type of style I would like for Hungary.

If she goes for something like that it could be really cool.

Hungarian ethno-inspired ballad! Now that would be amazing imo :) And she has the voice for it aswell!

That's what she said exactly in an interview "My biggest dream would be to represent Hungary at ESC." - that's shocking coming from a Hungarian artist I tell you! :D

I love Holdivola, and their new album just came out, but all of their songs are covers of Hungarian folk songs.

I see. But they (Holdviola) could still make an original song I think for Eurovision. For someone who really liked NOX, they could be "the next best thing" and as I wrote the singer this time around would be better.

Of course they could do, NOX also started with covering folk songs. (BTW the male member of NOX is working with Holdviola now)

I see :) Yes, indeed they would be a good choice.

Are they as popular as NOX were in Hungary? I remember that NOX were one of the most popular bands at a time.

Yes they quite are. Their first album spent 41 weeks in the charts, peaked at #1 and was certified as platinum. Both Bánat utca and Erdő, erdő were played by the radios. :) They'd be a good choice, though I don't know their views on ESC.
