Yes, but if there are 5 songs you like equally, you'll probably give the biggest points to the one with the best video, because the video will influence you too.

Personally I'm against promotions and for posting all the videos after the voting show.

Nope, I'm not gonna rate entries with videos higher.
Imo, only imbeciles vote for VIDEOS in the SONG contest

We send audio material. And we aren't gonna refuse from audio tracks with no videos.
It's great when you post videos - it's entertaining But it should not influence your votes cuz all songs should have equal conditions. Comparing SONGS with VIDEOS is certainly not about equal criterias

If you don't know how to rate entries in case of a tie - respect the rules and choose the song. I know it's hard but it's hard for other people too. It's possible to solve ANY tie because all remixes are different and it's possible to compare everything.
It's about the best remixes, NOT about who's best at preparing side materials.

I don't mind watching videos... but people, when you rate songs, please, compare audio and audio.

I agree with the comments above! videos are just 4 entertainment, we judge only the SONG, not the video. Personally I would definately prefer a great song with no video than a worse song with a great video. My opinion is that we should allow posting videos during the contest, because we are mature enough to judge some music, not videos.

Okay, if you think so, I agree with you But then again - why bother making new videos and uploading, when we can use the ready ones on youtube? From now on that's what I'll do.

All videos are equal there, they all have flags (or presenter) and nothing else. Basically I can't even call it a video.

When you take ready music videos what are you going to do with songs without videos? let people to post this themselves. There should be official picture-"videos" cuz the host shouldn't be biased :twisted: and the host should give opportunity to non-HDMC people to rate everything equally.

Wow, didn't know those videos would attract so much attention (unfortunately in a bad way). :shock:

I posted those videos for the main reason that both songs happened to have videos. I highly doubt that two harmless videos will be able to have any influence on anything. In that case it's not my problem if a video has so much influence on people that they aren't able to focus properly on the music only.

I think videos is a great additional feature for the contest, and I'd highly encourage anyone else thinking of posting a video: Do it! My votes however will always be based on the music, nothing else. A good video simply can't complement for a bad song imo.

By the way, isn't the same thing going on in FSC?

bad way? I don't think so. Maybe you missunderstood something because we aren't against posting videos, we are against biased voting so we don't have anything against you posting videos

Listening to the original songs before being remixed is quite refreshing as well! Sometimes there isn't much difference between the remix and the song, sometimes you like them both equally and sometimes you love one, but hate the other. I am especially glad when I fall in love with a remix and then hear the original, which turns out to be extremely boring, that means that someone managed to turn a bad song into a jewel

I don't see any problem with posting the videos, just like promotion. Still, I think that the presentation of the musics should be done like it was made, with just the flag, since there might have some without any videoclip. But thats just my opinion, and I'm new here
