As a half Pontic Greek myself, the MV really touched me... The scenery looks so much like my village.

@Nicholas123 gurl do you know which city in Pontos she is from? Bitch may be my distant relative xheat

This is slowly but steadily becoming one of my absolute favourites. The build up, the dynamics, the voice, the mystery, the emotion. Easily my fave Greece entry (ever?).

The video also added a another layer of enthusiasm for me. I hope and pray the staging will be great.

Greece 2018 vibes?
Very similar, but that one couldn't seing well enough. This one slays. I mean at her age? Think what she will be able to do in 10 years. But right now it looks more like a fancy pageant performance in a talent part of the competition, not like Eurovision kind of performance. At least not yet.

I actually hope they teach her how to cooperate with cameras, some really really basic choreo. Something like in Heaven sent, but for a slow song obviously 😄

Well done to my Greek brothers. I absolutely love the Greek slow songs! This one is lacking a little bit of typical Greek instrumental, but I still love it! Best of luck! ❤️

This is a great reimagining but the "acoustic" in the title is kind of galling, words truly do not have meaning anymore do they

The music video is a massive improvement on the NF performance one. Really creates an atmosphere. The opening 30 seconds (almost cold opening) gave me goosebumps. xlove

If that can capture and transfer that feeling from it onto the stage in Basel than I'm very bullish on the prospects for :gr: Asteromáta in May.

These backing vocals in the chorus of the "accoustic" version must stay! make the song sound more epic and they elevate it a lot. I also heard Klavdia saying that the concept of fire as an element will also be used for the staging. I want to remain positive, though with Fokas we should probably expect sth decent rather than great.

My dear, the biggest goal for the pre parties is all about the chance to create interactions with other artists and fans.
Same story every year. Greeks are pretty snob about these parties. Is it all about that creepy old guy from dream team, right?

Today it was :gr: turn at the ESC kompakt songchecks 2025.

The verdict of the bloggers:

Berenike - "Asteromáta" is a great classical ballad with a modern twist. I like the conservative ballad structure with its build-up of tension, which doesn't feel at all outdated thanks to the slightly folk-inspired tones and subtle electronic sounds. I also like Klavdia's clear voice. And a bonus point for the glasses. :8:

Douze Points - It always feels much longer than three minutes to me – and in the meantime, my mind has wandered elsewhere at least ten times. There are some nice elements, from the modern bass to the traditional touches that sneak in now and then. It's certainly beautifully sung, but it doesn't move me at all. And I can't imagine any mood in which I would listen to this particular song. :5:

Manu - For me, Greece did everything right this year: Klavdia is a charismatic singer with a wonderful vocal range, whose visual appeal is also memorable. Her song "Asteromáta" manages the mix of folk sounds and modern rhythms extremely well. It's a bit of a shame that Evangelia was eliminated in the preliminary round, but I'm just hoping for another attempt in the coming years. :10:

Max - On the one hand, I like the song and appreciate the different sounds that blend together here. There's even a Brazilian Carioca sound, which is currently very trendy internationally. However, I don't listen to the song over and over; it's too melancholic for that. Nevertheless, Greece can put up a good show with this, and it should be in the final. :6:

Peter - The most intellectual and challenging song in the competition has two other strengths besides the lyrics: "Asteromáta" promises to be impressively staged, and Klavdia evokes "Stronger Every Minute" vibes in me. Magical and assured of a place in the final. :7:
