Exported from Spain?

It seems more like a celebrity version of this: Stars in Their Eyes - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

What you quoted looks like anonymous transforming as stars, while here stars become impersonate several huge music stars for several shows. Actually, it really is a Spanish concept.
BTW, oh yes, Martakis sounds really bad, but I have to admit that on that show, professional singers usually sounded very bad while other stars sounded rather better. Music legend Nicoletta was remarked for her disastrous performances there ! xrofl3

Usually, the worst performances are those by real singers, since they have a tougher job to be similar to other singers since they do have their own style.

Ah ! so that's not only from us ! xrofl3
Amaury Vassili was usually not very good, but as I said Nicoletta was a huge disaster ! xrofl3 She couldn't sing any song, was off-tune and off-rhythm ! xrofl3 That was quite painful to see such a legend of music flopping like that ! :?
Natasha was really great as always ! :)

Yeah, I think the last place in the past two editions was for real famous singers and this year it looks like it will be the same. Even Daniel Diges wasn't that good. He was second mainly because he had many fans voting for him in the last shows.

The Spanish concept is obviously based on the "Stars in Their Eyes" concept, there's no denying. Some few adjustments to the format and instead of letting non-celebrities impersonate they got known singers doing it instead, other than that it's quite similar. They even had like a European final of "Stars in Their Eyes", sorta like Eurovision for the winners from the local versions of those shows  ... I remember watching it as a kid

Kostas is awful in both of these clips, really painful to both hear and see  He slaughtered the Mariah song, as for "Let Me Entertain You" that song will remain crap no matter who tries to do it (including Robbie himself).

Yeah, but in "Stars in their eyes" the juries were judging only the vocal skills, although the participants were dressed like the real artists. Here, juries judge if they perform similar to the one they're copying, even if the performance is crappy according to musical criteria :)

Here in Serbia that show, 1st season was in the end of 2013 and it was a huge success, the winner of it did an imitation of Loreen - "Euphoria" in one episode. :)

I remember them judging both vocal similarities but also performance similarities, but that's kind of irrelevant. I'm just saying that the Spanish format atleast got influenced by the other one.

Anyways how did this thread end up being about this show?

Oh yes, Ana Kokić was really amazing in that show! But back to the topic. I really don't know what to expect of Greece this year. I'll just hope that there won't be another wannabe-Helena songs.

Ok a little bit Off topic, but in 12-5-2013 the show was dedicated to Eurovision acts ! :D
Look Kostas Martakis (NF 2008) as Alexander Rybak, and Mando (GR 2003) as Mihai Trăistariu !

But the winner in that date was Niko Gkanos singing Everyway that i can ! :D

We also had an Eurovision special here. The winner nailed "Euphoria" (for the FSCers, she's who represented Spain in November). Daniel Diges was Rosa (Spain 2002), but it was quite wtf

Surely Daniel Diges could've been Daniel Diges?

LOL, we'll apparently have our own version of Your Face Sounds Familiar, and Michał Wiśniewski (from Ich Troje, ESC Poland 2003 and 2006) will be in the jury.
As to the song for Greece this year, I agree with GRE. I just LOVE Eleni Tsaligopoulou and I would love her to represent Greece with something like "Einai entaxei mazi mou"! And no Martakis please.... :(
