^Actually, i can't understand why this is happening..:p

I do. It's a hate-it-or-love-it song. Some consider it very catchy, others consider it very cheap.

I don't remember if this happened with Secret Combination actually. I think the ratings weren't so bad, it was a stronger song in its genre anyway... I remembered I had an obsession with that song that year, and I was so upset it didn't win! Since then, I hadn't felt anything like that for an ESC song until this year! :D

You're right! Kalomoira had better ratings, and i was on the same situation with you, such a shame she didn't win...

Voting here and ratings mean nothing imo.....Remember hungary or esthonia last year......Remember greece last year on the other hand.......For me,i find this year's greek entry very plain (catchy but plain)! In that respect, i find it surprisingly good that the song has gained 57 12p!!

Btw, I don't know why people are comparing Cyprus with Greece. If one of the song was sent by let's say Belgium, nobody would compare them... One is ethnic pop, the other is dance pop. There are not close at all...

I guess they are comparing the singers, rather than the songs. xthink

Both countries (which are known as 'close to each other and loyal', also in ESC) have cheerful catchy dance tunes as their this year's entries, maybe that's why. xthink
