Well, Nikki had to prove that she can pull the hole thing off live. That was her bet. There was my only question mark, because overall I liked both Nikki and Lukas before tonight's NF. But Nikki lost the bet (in my opinion, of course). She was so nervous that she went off tune several times and she was panting. And if she is so nervous in the NF how could she stand on stage in the semi? On the other hand, Lukas didn't have a nice stage presentation (in my opinion, again), but he was fine vocally, especially the second time he sang.
Anyway, we have 2+ months till the semi and it remains to be seen what the result will be. In any case, I personally don't think that is a crap song and I have no problem with this song representing my country. It's a fine song (just fine) for a european song contest. It's just ESC, it's not the Grammys :p
So, good luck!

No!
The girl has a nice voice, the song is quite decent plus diaspora voting! Classic recipe for victory!!!!!

The song sucked so bad though. It wasn't even a good ballad.

Guys the performance in May will be different, that was on a studio, with a bad camera work and bad sound (he was out of tune sometimes too)! We paid more money for the pizza than ERT did for the show!

Nikki Ponte won the tele votes and Lourkas became second.
Loukas Giorkas won the jury votes, Valanto Trifonos was second and Nikki Ponte wa third.

rumors and speculation. A whole channel supported Nikki but she didn't win. Show reference, how you have this information?

If you don't like it (and fact is that you don't) that don't mean that she is bad and others don't like her too!

Re: ?????? - Greece 2011

I assume Greece will be withdrawing no? I don't want EU money going to the state broadcaster to pay for a Eurovision entry when the country has 101 problems to deal with.

not much more than Irish problems though....

A generic Greek song defeated all that Swedish-inspired schlagers. This time we have a greek sound (at last) instead of all these bad copies of the 'western' music. I'm glad and I don't care at all if Greece makes the final or not...
(But Greece will be in the final)

Bravo Lucas and the people who voted, brave choice.

 so true :D but don't worry = soon Polish TV will be doing the same kind of preselection. Right now they are doing it in TV hall which looks like a hall in the shopping center. What's next? :D

Okay fair enough, it was my opinion offcourse.

And yeah, for sure people like different stuff, I just reacted at the comment that she could win Eurovision? Well, objectively speaking I really doubt that.

Neither could Sakis... but he had good backvocals... The same could be done for Nikki. But anyways - Loukas wasn't dancing and still had singing issues. And his song - no comment... But the results will show everything - I doubt any european will be crazy about this boring song =[

!!!!if u allow me to make a comment,.............comparing sakis with nikki is just funny my dear ..................................!!!!!!!

That's the spirit I like! I'd wish more would have the same view on Eurovision... Afterall entries represents countries, otherwise we would not compete as countries in this contest.

But yeah, get rid of the rapper or atleast put his role to a minimum i'd say!

You will, Greece always manages ;9

No offense, but in the end of the day you are one the countries gaining most support from diaspora, whether Greeks wanna admit it or not ;)
