Re: ΕΛΛΑΔΑ - Greece 2011

Apparently Nikki had to cut out some of her dancing because she was having trouble dancing and singing at the same time. :?

Oikotimes has a rundown of the final dress-rehearsal, and they say all the acts are great live:

DRESS REHEARSAL REPORT
Although many didn’t access the dress rehearsal the information from the last effort before the final has as follow: Kokkina Halia are pretty good in vocal performance and present their song very relaxed as if this was not a contest but a concert. Valanto Trifonos leaves everyone speechless with her outstanding vocal performance. Triimitonio is the happiest and most positive entry in the show, they really enjoy performing and they are totally confident. Antigoni leaves everyone with mouth open with her choreography, Loukas and Stereo Mike are confident and will peruse those viewers wanting something absolutely Greek and Nikki better than the previous rehearsal now she reduces her dancing moves and sings very good bidding for the victory!

WHAT THE POLLS SAY
Most polls consider Nikki Ponte as the top favorite. Loukas Yorkas ft. Stereo Mike is also a favorite as the are closely following Nikki Ponte in all polls, leading also the oikotimes.com Greek Europrediction. The impression though from the dress rehearsal is that do not pay attention only to the polls as all 6 participants seem to be perfect in their live performance and the live show will determine whether the favorites or the dark horses (Antigoni and Valanto) could surprise us all. What will happen? We will know at around 23:00 CET.

The jury is consisted by Marina Lachana (jury president), Head of Program on Greek National Radio and as jury members: Andreas Pilarinos, musician, Giorgos Pavrianos, lyricist, Bessy Malfa, actress / opera singer, Michalis Tsaousopoulos, Head of Athens Deejay and Rock FM radio stations.

So no Bokota... :( But also no Mimis Plessas? hmm

Re: ΕΛΛΑΔΑ - Greece 2011

I want Loukas to win (he's so much better singer then Nikki and song is more interesting and in Greek. Even rap part works OK). And...well...he's so HOT!!
I find Nikki too ordinary, but I guess she'll win, cause so many ppl support her and tbh...she'd do better at ESC then Loukas, but song is really ordinary summer-dance-pop-little song. But even is she wins I'll give it big points, just not 10 or 12.

doubt this is the reason...to be honest ,just today i cam across an interview of his, taken in January, where he was saying 'eurovision contest deals more with ''vision'' that song themselves ' ....maybe that was the reason for him not being in the jury.......?

Greece should all be rooting for Nikki, and Nikki only. It is the only song among finalists that has genuine prospects of winning the ESC.

I think Greece should be rooting for whoever they likes the most, and not just whoever they think would have most chances of winning.

Actually I think more countries should act like that, it would create a more dynamic, diverse and interesting ESC imo.

Personally i'm rooting for Loukas, but I won't be surprised if Nikki actually wins.

WHAT?! Isn't this what Sweden does all these years? Of course we have to think which one will work the best! If we want to win! Otherwise we send the one we like the most. But usually when we vote for the one we think it will do well, we also like it...
