I've just decided that MarieMarie's "Candy Jar" is probably the best (or rather my favourite) song of this entire Eurovision season. It's such a shame the German NF was so brutal this year. I like Elaiza very much but it hurts (actually pains my chest) how a song this good has gone to waste. I like it even more than Eko's "Red". Amazing, dark synth pop. Her album is very good as well. I hope she comes back. A final two of Unheilig and MarieMarie would have been epic.

Hello Mrmxrunhug i've only been inactive for like 3 or 4 days:lol:

I loved "Candy Jar" when MarieMarie performed it but I didn't download it for some reason. I was listening to her album on Spotify today and I just kept playing "Candy Jar" on repeat. "Is It Right" is really charming because of the singer but I think "Candy Jar" was luscious, melancholy synth pop and would have been my favourite entry of the year :(

I just listened for the very first time to this song. The accordion sets immediately the tone. The singer has a deep, sultry voice. I really like the sound of this song: the rhythm is captivating, and a nice climax is built. Even though I'm not 100% convinced of the vocal capacities of the singer, I think it's one of the best songs I've heard up to now. Viel Glück, Deutschland!

It was a political decision. MarieMarie was the best in NF.
But the frontlady of Elaiza is a native Ukrainian. And she will go to the stage with an Ukrainian flag in the hand.
I suppose...

That's nonsense! It's purely a matter of taste. Of course, MarieMarie was good (but I preferred "Cotton Candy Hurricane" over "Candy Jar") but for me, "Is it right" was better. So it voted for it. Whether the front lady is Ukranian, German, Australian or even alien doesn't matter at all.
