I think most people will either like this entry or hate it. I really like this entry, a good song and something refreshing compared to most eurovision songs.

Sorry, this leaves me completely cold.... I find it boring, I don't like the melody neither the voice of the singer nor the instrumentation. I do like rock music, but this is absolutely nothing for me. They may be good musicians and I think they'll have their audience and they can really please them and touch their emotions, but for me, it does nothing at all..

I didn´t dislike any of those songs, but still..............." Midnight Gold" is my least favorite one in the selection.

It all starts and goes well, but I´m just not a fan of that electronic synthesizer part that kicks in around 2:00, because it almost extinguishes everything else that can be heard in the song + overpowering singer´s voice. That part just didn´t click for me.

My two favorites ended up last and second last :?

This is a really unconventional choice for Eurovision. It's like a student band from the 80s or so.
The sound effects seem too much to me at times making it sound more like noise than music.
The end of the song is surprisingly undramatic. It's just over. Have we ever had that at Eurovision? xthink

For some reason I have to think of typical 80s robot toys when listening to this.
The song sounds like this looks:

It's not like the music I normally listen to but it has an unconventional appeal. I give it 10 points.

A very balled pick. Sounds like the kind of music I used to listen to back in college. The production is surprisingly well done, usually rock bands in this contest sound very amateurish. You can see these guys are professionals. And it's awesome it adds some variety to the show.

But, let's talk about the elephant in the room: As much as I like it, I still think this has no chance. Can't really see this passing neither the casual viewer or the ESC Superfan scrutiny. I'd like to think this could do a Common Linnets and surprise us everyone, but I just think it's a longshot.

In any case, 10/12.

I absolutely ADORE it now. It took a few listens though so that doesn't bode well.

Plus it isn't going to be a vote getter, which is a shame, I'm trying not to get attached to it.

I almost feel guilty for not liking this song as much as I should. All respect to :ge: to sending this type of music and going totally off the Eurovision band wagon. I really, really wish I could like it more though, but for me "Midnight Gold" was the least of all songs. It is such a shame, since this type of music is so in my street, and their style is really authentic. But I can feel, just like other people, that it is sort of third league, there is just something missing and the synthesizers sound like noise at some point.

That all being said, I would love to see this song in the final and I support these kind of efforts. Not to mention I do see the talent of this band......

Re: GEORGIA 2016 - Nika Kocharov & Young Georgian Lolitaz

It's... different... I think it will stay in the semi

Not a bad song.. just not right for Eurovision

An overused phrase that has no real meaning. Any song is right for Eurovision if it's good enough. And I believe this is a great example of it's genre.

Sugar And Milk was my personal favourite, but I knew Midnight Gold was going to win and it's my second favourite, and likely to get the best result at Eurovision.

10 points for now. Great job Georgia!
