Greek-Georgian singer Marcus Metreveli wants to represent Georgia @ Eurovision 2011.
He said that on Rustavi 2 channel (the one which was the 1st to report about Sopho).

Asked if Georgia had applied before last Friday’s deadline, Oslo-Head of Delegation Maia Baratashvili told us this afternoon “We did apply for Eurovision 2011, however so far we can not provide any details (about how the entry will be chosen)”.

The Georgian national broadcaster has extended the deadline for singers and composers to submit their applcations until the 10th of February. The Georgian broadcaster has received 30 applications so far. The Georgian Eurovision national final will be held sometime in mid February.
