Lozano and Kaliopi performing duo
Not my intention at all to start a political debate here, but why do ESCUnited feel the need to use the FYR when most countries simply recognize them as without FYR? Because EBU insists on using that? Not everything EBU does is for the better...
The term Macedonia describes a geographical region which also included parts of the independent states Bulgaria and Greece. That's obviously why. Ah, and because this is how it is used in ESC as well.
^ True, but nowadays Macedonia describes a region and not a country (in correct English at least). It'd be like calling Switzerland the Alps. 2
It describes both, and a majority of countries recognizes it as such
Oh well, off-topic, but I just find it odd why this forum insists on using that awful FYR term
"FUSSR Estonia" , "FUSSR Georgia", "FUSSR Ukraine" ...
