But yes I'd love to visit all the ex-Yugoslav countries and capitals. The only one I've been to is Ljubljana.

Quite honestly, I think they're all lovely. They all have weird mixes of old architecture with modern. My favorite ex-Yu city is Split, but so many are wonderful.

Oo nice! I just can't help but laugh though whenever I see or hear Hari Mata Hari as it always makes me think of the early 20th century exotic dancer Mata Hari.

Please remember no political discussions in here.

To put this argument to rest, Macedonia has the right to call themselves by that name regardless of what other countries think.
Due to the EBU regulations and rules as well as per esctoday's instructions we have to add the FYR (out of my hands ) so I apologize for any confusions or hurt feelings this may have caused.


So let's get back to the music and celebrate Macedonia's great decision to send an artist with a lot of potential and a great voice.

Very nice! I shall have to embark on a massive Balkan trip sometime in the future! See them all.

If you do, I suggest learning the language a bit more, or getting someone who knows the languages to go with you, because many people in the Balkans don't like English or just don't know it.
At least where I have been.

I think I'll be fine. English worked fine in Slovenia, but if all else fails, I can always use my hands to demonstrate what I mean, or draw/write on paper. Play a little pictionary with the locals. Haha.

Haha, yeah. Just be respectful and you'll be fine. OH. And carry a trunk full of Rakija, Cigarettes, and Smoked Meats. You'll be able to warm up to anyone with those.

I love Pictionary too! I love boardgames in general.

Yeah I always try to learn the basics like "hi, please, thank you and excuse me" in the local language when I travel, because people are more prone to want to help you then.

I was about to write that Macedonian broadcaster wanted to choose Lozano in a duo with one Azeri singer but she chose the Azeri selection... didn't expect that the new performer will be chosen so fast

As for Kaliopi .... awesome, I like her! Hoping for a gr8 song.

For a moment I thought that they are withdrawing, now this happens. And I will be watching the NF.

I was actually thinking the same mostly because I really thought MKTV would do Skopje Fest again but I'm so glad they smartened up!


And I must say I'm so glad that my interest in Macedonia in ESC has finally been rekindled. I really hope Kaliopi ends up with an awesome song and finally achieves a Top 10!
