:?OMG, I hate to say this...but I'll be honest...I thought it's going to be smth so much more epic/bigger/stronger...to blow me away. I don't feel like that now....knowing how much better songs she can make...this is decent, nice and OK...but doesn't have wow effect on me.
I'll give it 12 (being completely biased, kill me), just because it's Kaliopi, I love her.

I believe they will though, because it was confirmed so long ago it would be in Macedonian.

Unfortunately it seems like it'll almost only be Macedonia that will send a song in native language to ESC this year, so they are this year's "ESC saviors" (together with just a couple of others) (Iceland, Croatia, Slovenia all plans to sell-out their chosen entries!).

There's already too much of it and as with the case of Croatia, this might be a little hmm anonymous without its original language.

look, im usually a fan of the countries that send a primarily english sung song, but theres always exceptions (Slovenia last year for instance) but i fear that this song from Macedonia just wont make the final. its great, its powerful, but its just not all there. i think it being in english could help it rather than hinder it

Hmm so you want all to be in English then if I understood you right? (you're usually a fan of...?).

I don't look at music that way, for me a language should never be a hinder in any form, I see Eurovision as a way of getting to know local music (modern or ethnic) and to me that includes languages. If native language is a hinder, then there's something wrong with ESC because it's against the whole essence of the concept that they should in any way be a hinder.

Well there is no chanse for ALL 5 ex yu countries to qualify.
Untill now,i can assure you that Kalliopi & Eva have better songs from Nina.

Ofcourse there's a chance for all 5 to qualify!! Nina is likely to get jury and neighbor votes, Macedonian same, Serbia would get jury neighbor and televise, Slovenia perhaps jury and televote as it seems quite a popular song...saying they have no chance is very wrong...it's not likely- but it could happen. Remember in the 2004 and 2005 all of them (except Slovenia) qualified

There is too much English, sometimes countries translate it like English is a must, even if they ruin the song - they still translate, I'm aware of it. But...what I wanna say: Macedonian song might sound good in English (I'm not suggesting it goes to ESC in English, definitely not, because they chosen Macedonian), but unlike Croatian song...which (to me), sounds really Croatian...Macedonian song sounds more universal, and that's why English version (or any other language) might work better then it would work for Croatian song.

I get your point, however universal sound or not, part of what makes it special is still the use of native language.

Countries so desperately try to cater to this idea of that English somehow is better and automatically would attract more voters or whatever, I think it's a sad mindset and to me that's not really what ESC should be about.

Well, I listened to both Macedonian and English versions. English version is surprisingly good but Macedonian suits that song. Some countries send songs in their native language dammit!
