It's a nice song but 25 sets of 12?

According to eurovision-fr.net and some other sites, the big surprise in the French entry will be the female singer, who is claimed to be a bigger star than Jessy Matador and will be officially announced in April. The French forums were shortly filled with rumours about her identity, including some French-based singers like Alizée, but also world-known ones like Ciara and Kelly Rowland. Ciara has Creole roots and speaks fluent French, while Rowland has spent a lot of time in France last years working with many local artists like David Guetta, Nâdiya, Stomy Bugsy, etc., and she already speaks the language quite well too. Do you think that France could be the country that will send the best-known artist in Oslo? Alizée, Ciara, Kelly Rowland ... or someone else? :?

Btw the official name of the song is "Alllez Olla Olé", you can check it on eurovision.tv ;)

Somehow I doubt that France will make it to engage a well-known artist. For sure it would be great to see someone like Ciara or Kelly Rowland (or even Rihanna!) on stage, but why should these singers support Jessy Matador in Oslo? (Okay, money is always a good reason  ) I thought about someone like Jenna Lee, Najoua Belyzel, Louisy Joseph or Kenza Farah, as their voices harmonize with the song imo.

We shouldn't forget that it isn't just an Eurovision song, it's the official anthem of the French national football team for the World Cup in South Africa and the track will be played on many radio stations all over the world. It's a big honor, an excellent publicity and a quite profitable deal for every artist to perform such a song ;)

Yeah, I nearly forgot that. You're right at this point.

I heard the David Guetta and Christophe Willem rumour turned out to be true, and they were ready to do it until they chose Matador

http://www.eurovision.tv/page/news?id=1 ... Semi-Final

Broadcaster France 3 has approached the Eurovision Song Contest Reference Group with a request to move the broadcast and voting obligation of the draw for France from the second to the first Semi-Final, to avoid scheduling problems. At the same time, France 3 would commit itself to more intense promotion of the contest, including the commitment to broadcast both Semi-Finals (the first one live, the second one deferred). The Reference Group accepted the proposal.

Svante Stockselius, Executive Supervisor of the Eurovision Song Contest on behalf of the European Broadcasting Union, said to Eurovision.tv: "We appreciate the commitment of France 3 to, for the first time, broadcast all three shows. This decision is in line with French success and good ratings of the 2009 contest in Moscow, and supports growing interest in the Eurovision Song Contest in France."
