I had that feeling when they won the national final. Actually I told my boyfriend and he laughed at me. This year I have the same feeling with Czechia for example…Agree. Fulenn failed because the staging was messy and vocals poor. I liked the studio version of that song but the performance was a mess and when I saw it I said people across Europe aren't going to vote for it.

Based on interviews and them teasing 'sparkly staging', they might be aiming to recreate the MV after all, which would be very pretty on stage.
You should definitely look at her performance at the C'est à vous show in France.I´m a little bit scared about vocals.
I was after the pre parties, but that tv performance she did the other week was excellent. I really hope her vocals hold up on the night and that she gets a late running order slotI´m a little bit scared about vocals. But it´s still points and my 5th place.
For the record, the running order slot barely matters at all. If you have a good song, you do well, period.that she gets a late running order slot
Czechia last year got 125 points in the televote from the last slot in the Semi-Final with 21 countries voting. They opened the final and got 5 points with 40 countries voting. Running order has a massive impact on outcome. For the record, the running order slot barely matters at all. If you have a good song, you do well, period.
Do you think Serhat would have qualified in 2019 if he wasnt last in his semis running order? For the record, the running order slot barely matters at all. If you have a good song, you do well, period.
In the final, there were more countries (about 60% more ), there were different countries, different people who voted (semis tend to have more hardcore fans and in the final you have people from more countries). There are also more people over all who voted. Furthermore people tend to concentrate more or even all of their votes on their favorite in the final, because it‘s about the win, whereas in the semis people split their votes more often (not all of them of course). And there is a different running order which is influenced by the expectations how well a song will do (because people think the running order has a huge impact, so songs that are expected to do poorly are put into spots that are considered „bad ones“ It‘s basically a self fulfilling prophecy because weaker songs are thus much more often in „bad spots“).Czechia last year got 125 points in the televote from the last slot in the Semi-Final with 21 countries voting. Thanks for replying that before I had the chance to do so.In the final, there were more countries (about 60% more ), there were different countries, different people who voted (semis tend to have more hardcore fans and in the final you have people from more countries). So if you take all of that into consideration, you have huge stastical factors, plus some others and the impact of one of these (the running order) is far away from „massive“. There may be an influence but it‘s largely overhyped by the fans. The actual number of your spot is even less important than the fact who is starting right before or after an act (whether ther is a big contrast musically or if its a favorite and this gets more
attention)
WINNER!
