Mhhhhh, so I usually love the French entries: Alma, Amir, Barbara were all in my Top 3 and I even came to appreciate Fulenn. And I was quite excited to hear La Zarra would represent France this year, listened quite a bit to "Tu t'en iras" over the last few weeks, but this song here fell flat with me, I was disappointed that it went into quite a different direction. :( I know mixing genres is very trendy these days, but the chanson/disco mix is really not for me. I think the live performance can easily make this more impressive, but I don't know, I think a Sentimentai like result makes sense.

No La Zarra tonight in Amsterdam due to a personal problem apparently! I hope she's alright, wonder if she will perform in London tomorrow....

Some rest will do her good, she will need everything she's got to perform brilliantly in rehearsals and in the final

I think the new version from the France 5 live is perfect. She adjusted the little awkward parts that stopped the flow of the song in my opinon and it's soo much better now for me.
She was also perfect live. Even better than in studio.
The acoustic version released today is also excellent

There's an article in Le parisien, I haven't read it because there is a paywall, whose title is « J’avais prévenu qu’elle était compliquée à gérer » (I did warn that she's too difficult to handle.) i hate the fact that the French press don't care about esc 90% of the time but now they're ready to be mean even if we don't know what is happening in her life (and she's totally right to keep her private life secret).

Sadly, thats the press for you

Nobody knows whats going on in her personal life, or what's happened and they choose to write things like this? Not on

Radio France too...

Wouldn't have expected Radio France to fall this low into tabloid journalism... conveniently leaving out Alma's and Amir's placements and pretending like she's headed to become a trainwreck.

Once she rivals Barbara's success, suddenly eeeeveryone will love her in France :)

My god when people who don't know anything about eurovision choose to open their mouth about a subject they don't understand anything about... This is the result.
The worse thing in this is how pretentious he sounds. The ego... :ROFLMAO:

Honestly, I was hoping for a quieter period, as we may be able to snatch a top 5 this year. But this negativity frightens me a little...
Not attending two preparties won't make her come across as being mean or whatsoever

I can't believe people are paid to write such articles (or "torchons" in french).

Being pretentious and having a terrible mindset like these journalists are one thing, but at least please, they need to check their infos because saying we ended 2nd last year, forgetting that we had Alvan & Ahez last year, is such mediocre journalism. There was also a show in RMC (french national radio) this afternoon called "Estelle Midi" and the people there were also disrespectful, also saying the fake news that La Zarra will withdraw (without any source).

I just hope La Zarra will do at least as similar as Amir in 2016 in term of final result (or at least Top 10) at the end so they will return their jackets at least a little bit. Having support from the Eurovision fandom will be important for her I think and i pray she will shut the mouth of these french journalists very soon with a fantastic result. It would be delightful.

I think it's quite clear she will be a jury magnet, I can't see her lower than 5th place in the juries. I don't know if she will do as well as Amir in 2016, because the televote is quite uncertain nowadays and she may be ending quite low among the viewers, but the juries will push her to the top 10, at least.

The televote is unpredictable. If they pull off something à la Barbara Pravi in terms of staging, then it's a win.

:fr: won our "Eurovision pub meeting voting" with 245 points.
(#2 got 184 pts) - 34 people took part.

And I´ve heard that France also won the "Eurovision pub meeting voting" of our neighbouring city as well.

I think it will get some huge support of German fans, tbh.

Guillaume Erner. The one who will make me leave France Culture, my preferate radio station ever. He knows obviously nothing about Eurovision, but the few musical stances I've heard of him are cringe.

"Let's say, in short, that the singer supposed to represent us, the so-called La Zarra - nothing to do with a great brand of Spanish bass couture - La Zarra decided not to sing in a warm-up evening of the ceremony of the Eurovision, which will take place on May 13, 2023. La Zarra therefore has reason to worry, and if we take the portrait of the artist as a worker, it is very bad publicity for the French worker. be arrogant, capricious and ultimately absolutely unreliable - three characteristics which are unfortunately often attributed to the French worker.

In short, she's a diva, but a diva who doesn't sing - a way of reconnecting with the sheets of France in this singing competition - our country came 15th, 22nd, 23rd, 26th - last year when we had arrived second which could appear as an exception. In France, they say, everything ends with songs, well there, we are once again not about to end.

And I thought they couldn't stoop any lower...
