25 points!!!!!! Honestly: The juries who didn't give a single point to her (yes, Belgium, I'm looking to you also!) have disqualified themselves for a lifetime. Of course it's a matter of taste but thinking that Barbara is NOT in the top 10 this year is a proof that you can't see quality when it's before your eyes.

Congratulation to Barbara for this great result for France.

Maybe they thought that the French-speaking part of Belgium would give her the 12 points and thus they wanted to cancel out this effect? It makes about as much sense as all the televote points of the Netherlands, the UK, Spain and Germany combined.

It made me laugh that Belgium jury didn't give us points because of the border incident few times ago: it's obvious that they want a war!!!!!

I was surprised because I have read on twitter that France asked for an Italian dq?!?! (edit: no just a bunch of stupid people in fact.) I'm pretty sure it's fake news and we are so happy to be 2nd place with good televote, there are maybe 5 insane people in the whole country who could think about such a stupid thing...

Italy came 11th on jury result. Ukraine 19th (1st in televote). Even Greece, our jury 12 points, got a 23rd place.

From people I know and my twitter everyone seems surprised by France doing so good, happy with the results even if it seems that Ukraine was more hyped than Italy.

(And I just can't get Moldova televote results?!?! 12 on SF and 7 in F. No one liked it!?!?)

yeah actually when people were saying "how France is high in the odds" everybody was : can you shut the f up please we're gonna be last again for the 84773th time ?

Like nobody saw coming that 2nd place that actually people are happy with it, we have far more positively surprised people that we came second than sore losers that we weren't first.

That's what I thought, especially as he/she put Switzerland 15th in semi and 1st in final, but their other votes seem more or less in line.

And yes, winning semi televote, no one ever talked about it

Yeah, I was wondering do we have a Moldovan diaspora on here? She got 12 points on the SF with far less voters and viewers than in the F and dropped to 7th in the F. We always give on the F televote points to Italy, Portugal and Israel (that's why I only voted for Ukraine and Russia because I knew Italy would be well) but I never noticed Moldova (especially in a year with a song which doesn't seem liked a lot).

Well at the same time it's only 5 people and EVERYBODY I was talking to yesterday night ranked Italy pretty low when they sent me their ranking (and they were pretty shocked they won, they thought Ukraine or Iceland were winning) so I wouldn't rule out that those 5 juries just didn't like Italy enough but I guess they were aware it was 1st in the odds. So yeah I don't know.

@popavapeur I was talking about jurys who gave points to Moldova.

The French jury looks really chaotic with really split results between members so no wonder given points seem strange. There is no song who got top marks from the five people. (And Italy was 11th). At the beginning I thought that they did it for wrong reasons (helping a French victory) but it seems so chaotic I'm pretty sure it's just 5 guys with really different tastes. (I feel that the one giving 1st and 3rd place to Finland and Italy is the BB Brunes/Mat Bastard manager).

I was really hoping that Barbara would win last night. She was cinematic, magical, simple, beautiful. What a shame. I hope France keep this new era of quality entries.
