Y'all I'm so nervous for "Ich komme" what if it's bad. "Cicciolina" is one of my very favorite songs Eurovision has brought into my life what if "Ich komme" is bad.

The first UMK song is absolutely amazing, imo.
"Nightmares" is everything I wanted "We Will Rave" to be. It hits harder, the arrangement is 90's-esque divine.
I'm living - probably :10: or :12: for me. - the song would have been perfect with another instrumental chorus after 3:00.

What a way to kick off UMK!

She will be fine her most recent single Myynnissä slaps! Erika wouldn’t have entered UMK if she didn’t believe in her song it’ll be great.

If someone like Nightmares I won’t object, but for me this is probably the weakest UMK-entry since 2021. Not worst, but weakest.

Nightmares is a good start. I don't love it right away but I think there's room to grow on me for sure. The instrumental slaps though xheat

Very excited to hear Nelli Matula's song, I sent her song 'Tulevaisuuteen' to WLSC a while back so I'm hoping for something in the same vein as that

I for one join the 835,297 Eurosexuals in their shared excitement of queen Erika Vikman's grand return to UMK. I just also share the same worry as @lavieenrose. There's so much to live up to. Cicciolina was absolute peak Eurovision goodness that's going to be extremely hard to top. I will have faith though that Erika can deliver something just as resplendent, ridiculously catchy and high camp. In Erika Vikman we trust.

Nightmares is not a bad start at all. It's not really my thing but it's powerful and I can't really fault it. Synths are very good. Have a generous :7: from me.

The second song was okay, but nothing more. I hope that UMK will surprise us with better entries!

The first two songs are really operating in the same lane, but hey, it's a fun lane.

I find it interesting that we have so many girl bops.

Does this mean that Erika and Goldielocks will give us something a bit different?

Surely.

Vivii has a ballad for sure.

Both of these entries are rather dull to me :/

This is more like it. Hook that shimmering electro pop to my veins. It perhaps misses something to make it really competitive, but as a radio friendly pop track, it shimmers.. like tremendously so. I think I love it. The tinge of melancholy it has despite being an upbeat number makes it really sit well with me. Finland are so good at this stuff. I'm on listen number five already without even thinking about hitting that replay button. It's just happening. Magic.

I'll go with the strongest :10: points possible for now as I want to hear what Erika and the rest have to offer. Hitaammin hautaan would be such a worthy entry though. Lush pop perfection.

Oh my gosh, Hitaammin Hautaan is fantastic xheart It's so light and dreamy but at the same time feels really emotional and nostalgic. I'm not hopeful about its chances to win but I think this is my new favourite song of the season so far

First song from Neea River is labled in the description as an epic dance bop but it falls flat for me. Straight out of 2005 which isn't necessarily a bad thing but this one misses the mark.

Also could've been shortened by 25 seconds as it runs out of ideas halfway through. :censored:

Nelli Matula's song is better than Neea River's "Nightmares". I like "Hitaammin hautaan" beat. Also this song's message is important. Chorus should have been more memorable. 7/10.

Pop music is the trend in Finland this year, it seems. My guess is they won't choose yet another crazy song this time. On the other hand, ballads have had a hard time at the UMK recently.

I like number two better than number one so far. 'Nightmares' sounds too pitch-corrected.
