I’ve given it a 4 for now. I basically feel the same about this song as ‘My AI’ in Norway. It’s a bit too much “just another 90’s song”. Of course if the melody and vocals had been stronger, I would have liked them more.

There has been some bitching and whining the last few years that Eurovision gets too bland, too jury friendly, too much radiopop. These same critics look back at Verka and others with love. Well here you have a huge denim egg that opens and a Y2K sound and you're still unhappy?

I recommend Windows95man (Teemu Keisteri) new artist name for StigV2man. Stig (Pasi Siitonen) and Windows95man are look a likes.

There is a fine line between deliciously kitschy and try-hard humour. This clearly falls under the latter. It comes off as too desperate to emulate the success of last year but none of the charm or amusement. A song that would feel dated even in the 10s.

Exactly. Hate when people think we don't like fun entries.

Cha cha cha - amazing, 5miinust also amazing. They have substance and are musically doing something original. Aren't too try-hard.

This is musically generic and the only reason it won is because it was wacky. Give this a dull staging it wouldn't even finish in the top 10.

It also says a lot that only Jesse's Glow had fewer streams than this. And Glow is a superior song.

eh, regarding NQ, since today it's 100 % televote in the semi finals, I feel like the whole argument about more jury influence needed falls apart
To be clear, I wasn’t talking about NQ because I’m sure we can agree that Finland are likely sailing through with this. But after last year, winning seems to the priority for them so it would make sense for there to be a greater focus on jury influence in UMK next year to better align with the system in the contest.

Agree, like what's the point in qualifying and then basically knowing you won't finish top 10 because this is dead with the juries. I honestly think this will get 5 jury points (from Sweden and Norway)

Fuck it, this is my new leader, sorry not sorry Ukraine (and unofficially Austria) xcheer

The satisfaction i felt yesterday the moment he won is the high we all crave as humans when we watch sports and witness someone on "your team" beating someone "not on your team".

True. EVERY country that dreams of winning the ESC would have to have the same voting system as the ESC. That way you have the best chance to send a song that will have some real chances there.

The difference is Verka Serduchka was completely orignial and fun, likewise Käärijä from last year. This entry isn't, it looks and sounds amateurish, cheap, and has zero redeeming qualities.

I love novelty songs at Eurovision or just fun, catchy songs, like we had in the late 2000's but this is not it for me.

One minute I think it's bloody stupid but the next I think it's the best thing I've ever heard. I'm yet to decide one way or another

Yes, W95M is our 2024 Günther with his Sunshine Boy

On that note, I kinda wish the lead vocalist Henri Piispanen would get a shout out (i.e. Windows95Man feat./x Henri) cos while the majority of the iconic parts of the stage performance are from W95M, Henri is responsible for carrying a lot of the memorable melodic sections of the song, so not mentioning him just seems a bit wrong to me.

Sure it's all been agreed by the artists, but I say if a name change for Eurovision is required (again, not sure if that will be the case as per Teya & Selena's "Girl, call Universal..." line in :at: 2023), then they should add Henri in as a credited performer in the overall entry so people know he is as important in the performance.

I think he will need to change his name. May i suggest they form a band called "Clippy"? xcookie
