Aksel's voice is really beautiful, and the song is surprisingly kinda boundary-pushing - I pretty much expected another Michael Rice based on his description (shy guy from a talent show). The percussion in particular is odd, almost frantic but it works once you get used to it and the theme of the lyrics serves as an interesting counterpart to Rasmus Rändvee's more generic "Young". I'm not sure how much staying power the song has though.

Aksel's entry is It would have been difficult to succeed Ciccierika anyway, but no. "Australia Decides" wants its eleventh entry back.

Ughhh I am so afraid that the same will happen as with Poland in 2016 - I felt in love with Margarets song and in the end the victory was taken (albeit partly because of a messy performance) by the only guy in the competition. Aksel has vanilla bland winner written over it - until he becomes another Axel Hirsoux / Michael Rice in Rotterdam.
Please Finland - become relevant again and crown your queen!

Sis, I watched the show. The juries were not bunch of 90 year old grannies with a PhD in musicology assigned by YLE. It was composed of media bloggers, youtubers, children, and even firefighters lol all nobody other than the public itself.

She's the most well known of the participants (partly for her singing career, partly because she's dating a famous Finnish singer who's 50 years older) and attracted a lot of attention for the song because it's about Cicciolina AND she's being branded as the new Kikka, who was a popular schlager singer during the 90's - with a bit naughty and suggestive lyrics.
