For every La Zarra/Blanca Paloma fashion slay, there's a Mae Muller/Theodor fashion faux pas

I missed the drama of Italian carpet, Michael Ben David stealing everyone's mic and singing their songs better than them, and then the horny cameraman drooling over Malta's and Cyprus' respresentatives. This year the only scandal was Let 3's Victorian underwear reveal 🤣

In that name, when people say Mother La Zarra...Wrong people! Mother ŠČ! 🤣

Here's a question. I'm going to the semi-final on Tuesday night. We have standing tickets. Anyone know how many of us there will be in the standing area? Just wondering how likely it'll be that we can get up the front!

Thinking about Finland potential jury score and went back to 2021 jury scores, one of my favourite contests ever. Iceland came 5th in jury vote and rightly so (I loved their song) yet their vocals were hardly remarkable? So maybe jurors do vote for a good pop performance even if vocals not amazing? Still can't understand why Ukraine only came 9th in jury that year.

Is it normal to feel way more anxious and excited for this year's edition than last year? Even though my country has a weaker entry compared with last year?
The song quality is better, there is more competition and especially... the shows will be better produced.

TBH after the rehearsals happened the competition feels more open than ever.

I've been saying in 2021 and 2022 "oh this year is like 2011" and was proven wrong xfaint.

This year seems as if SF1 and GF was so strong but the rehearsals seems to balance them out. Big favs from SF1 kinda flopped/not up to scratch on presentation. SF2 has some subpar songs but has more comprehensive performance snippets. GF performances elevate the low expectations put on them.

I can't tell if there's an obvious favs in 2023, TBH. About Loreen, she's just Eurofans' trophy wife, that's her harem.

For me it's a 4 horse race between :se: :fi: :fr: and :es:

I can't see anyone else getting close to the trophy.

(Although I think that if the juries are generous with :fi:, he may take it in the end).

I guess you're right, these are the big favs actually. My bad for thinking short xfacepalm

However I still think there's not much gap between these 4 and some other underdog favs like:no: and :il:. Heck maybe we can see some other ones rising from nowhere.

I am wondering if we could see a top 5 televote composed of (in no particular order)

Finland.
Sweden.
Ukraine.
One dark horse televote success (Germany or Moldova maybe).
One of the big 5 (France or Spain?).

Loreen seems very solid in the odds. Kaarija too. About the other ones, the difference is really short. From 8% to 2%
Everything could happen. None predicted north Macedonia to win jury vote in 2019 or Moldova to come 2nd with the televote last year or Malta flopping so hard with the televote in 2021 and France too in 2022.
France has created a case with that rehearsal but in the odds didn't increase that much. We have had such stagings in the past, Australia 2019 everyone was going mad about it, but it didn't pay that much. Now I'm not saying France doesn't have any chance to win but are less than the most think.
For me is a two horse race with Ukraine just behind them.
People have forgotten the number of the Ukrainian refugees all around Europe. Millions spread allover the continent
