OFFICIAL: Diodato (Italy 2020) will perform the interval act during semifinal 1

I guess this might be such a bittersweet moment for him even though usually for Italian artists ESC is more of an afterthought or added bonus compared to winning San Remo. But to finally stand on the ESC stage, this should be a nice touch. Hopefully he will perform his winning song. I still remember he was one of the hot favourites to win the 2020 edition.

I miss the class 2020 so much and what could have been to see those songs 'live' on stage.

Fai rumore was my winner two years ago and has gone on to become my most streamed #Eurovision song of all time - can't wait to watch him perform it! 🇮🇹

So we will not get anything substantial until 2nd rehearsals. However, we may get something from TikTok for the 1st rehearsals.
Which is fair enough considering the negative reactions some acts have got in the past from fans when a 1st rehearsal isn't great. That's the time for them to make mistakes and not be picked apart for it. Plus meet and greets start on Sat 30th so that's content.

I agree, for the artists that got unnecessary critiques in the past and that's important to not feel that burden early on specially when those rehearsals are meant to try things and fail at stuff, practicing, while Online Press take it as "the final staging" and judge it harshly.

BUT

I feel like all the rehearsals are part of the ESC experience and that's really what excites me the most in the contest, what they changed from the 1st to the 2nd to the final product. It's like a chunk of the contest that is not gonna be there anymore.

And I do think that sometimes bad critiques are an indicator that you're doing something wrong. If there is a general consensus about a dress being real ugly, or a staging that feels strange in its colors or i don't know ? the artist and the broadcaster will loose that precious feedback. How many times we saw something being modified because fans were saying that wasn't great and it turned out to be better at the end because of the feedback ? yeah sometimes fans are stupid and also gave stupid feedback but I do feel like most of the time the critiques were fair (the problem was how they were given : harsh and mean)

I understood that Italy totally has 9.3.
9.4 from one jury and 9.2 from the other.
Or I'm wrong?

Germans cannot talk about Austria on German Television without putting on a fake Viennese accent and make a complete fool of themselves.

Was is es denn, was is es denn? It's lame.

Tbh they'll be all over Twitter etc as soon as they post them on Tik Tok. So I wouldn't worry. There is so many fans that some of them will download and post them elsewhere.

And thats the idea behind it. Get a new and young crowd on TikTok and the oldies like us on the other platforms.
