So sorry for England, one of my favorite teams is out
Just KNEW it would go wrong when Cole took the penalty, it was as if he was completely destined to fail the whole time...
Now my support goes to mostly Germany, but also Italy. Such a shame they won't meet in the final though. :/

Congrats to Italy!! I don't think England played bad. They did had few good chances, but it annoyed me that they focused too much on the defense. Defensively, they were perfect! I think Hodgson wanted to go through with penalties, but England lost there.
Good job England, considering how most people thought they would end last in their group. 5th in this EURO is not bad, but they could have done better.

^ xyeah Im proud of the team, they exceeding all expectations even though I was hoping for the Semis! Joe Hart I've been incredibly impressed with too! The penalties were hell to watch though, at first it was like yeh we're gunna make it, but then it turned out no...

What England were you watching? Greece would have given Italy a better game they were that bad. Defensively they threw men in front of the ball, but if Italy weren't complete bottle jobs in front of goal they would have won 6-0. Italy are an average team made to look world class by what appeared to be a bunch of pub footballers.
England had to defend. if they tried to play expansive football, Pirlo would have chucked 30-yard passes to Balotelli in behind the back four all day and it would have been a massacre. England don't have the players to have a go. They did what they could, but they are a really poor team that only made it out of the group because France were a lot worse than people expected.
It's no coincidence that both teams from Groups A and D have been knocked out at the first time of asking, as those were by far the weaker groups. Now we have the 4 best teams in the tournament going against each other. I can't wait.
