Why the fuck does Marko Reikop, our broadcast commentator, always come up with lies or misrepresent the facts? I get second-hand embarassment when I watch with his commentary. He should know everything from heart. He's been doing this since the 90s. Like today he just randomly lied that last year jury also voted in the semis and that's the reason why Alika qualified. Like, why, Marko, why?

Anyways, I thought our vocals were a bit weak, direction and staging were uninspired and underwhelming. I expected it to improve a lot thanks to the professional crew producing the big show, but unfortunately not. I'm just so jealous how much better many other entries look on the screen.

Who cares? Its not like they are going to win anyway. And there is not much difference between 15th place with perfect staging, or 20th place with mediocre staging. Made it to GF and can sing it once more. More than I expected, so taking big W.

Why are people saying it was a surprise, it was always an expected qualifier.

And Nordic folk REPRESENTATION!

Incredibly happy about this, and it's nice to see a lot of positive comments under the YT video of the performance (even if most of them are about Vsauce, but anything that gets people talking helps ig lol). It does look less polished and produced than a lot of the other acts, but the raw infectious energy and fun the boys are excellent at bringing on a stage can get one far and there might also be a certain charm in that. So glad we finally sent something fun, different and unique.

This was never at risk. Never cared for the eurofans skepticism, they just get confused when a comedic folk entry sung in a native language comes into account. This is a certified televote smasher.

xyaayReally happy we made it! :giggle: Having our odds improve after the performance was a promising sign, but you never know for sure! When Latvia popped up right away, it was clear one of the predicted qualifiers wouldn't make it. Glad it wasn't us tho'! :giggle:

Yeah, perhaps a different/less messy/perfected performance could get us a slightly higher place in the end, especially with the juries.. but I'm glad this slice of somewhat controlled chaos still appealed to enough televoters. Doing a complete reworking of the stage show could have been beneficial, but also could have flopped hard, so I guess keeping things the same worked out well enough. Do hope they save their most polished performance & best vocals for tonight's jury show, so we have at least some hope for double-digit jury points! Hard to say what they'll make of us, but I wouldn't set my hopes too high in that regard. Would be nice to not be bottom 5 perhaps. :giggle: There's also plenty of televote fodder vying for points, so who knows how many will be left over for us.. but here's hoping for the best! :giggle: A nice solid mid-table result would be good too, and hopefully not too disappointing to anyone! But eh, even if we end up bottom 5, I'm still happy we made it! One of the upsides of being a borderline qualifier I guess, making the final is already a small victory! :D If you're predicted to be top 5 and then end up 19th, the disappointment would be much bigger.

Deserved qualification, they were entertaining enough to make it through.

Regardless of how they do tonight, I will keep my smile on during those 3 minutes.

Good luck tonight! :giggle: Hope we can end this dramatic season with a nice solid result! But come what may, hope the guys have fun and enjoy their time on stage and put on a good catchy performance! :giggle: Keep the expectations reasonable and enjoy the show, and if we do better than expected/predicted, it would be wonderful! :D But whatever the result, 5Miinust & Puuluup have done a good job getting us to the final anyway. :giggle:

This turbulent ESC season at least gave me a new favourite Eurovision song of all time. The only good thing to come out of this mess

Well, honored to be next to Finland in the scoreboard, both of the acts accomplished what I think they were meant to accomplish in the end. I hope the boys are not too disappointed lol. It's hard to really make it in the final. Especially with a song that's a total non-starter with the juries. Love the random 2 jury points from Italy though.

Proud of the boys, but in the end of the day we kind of underperformed. Last place with the jury was compeltely expected (even 0 points wouldn't been a surprise) but I was hoping for televoting top 10 or at least 50 points. We basically only got "friendly votes" + 4 from Croatia.

Just could not get into this song. Had it 22nd on the night. Great to see something different but was always going to score low with jury

I was honestly embarrassed by our entry this year. They looked and sounded like a bunch of obnoxious assholes shouting their way through the entire thing. Considering that they did pretty damn well in the end.

I enjoyed this song the most. I can’t understand why it didn’t receive more votes.

I voted for you.

Eh, it was always going to be an uphill battle to reach very high places, all things considered! Jury love was highly unlikely (didn't get a 0 at least!), and this year had so many uptempo televote magnets to contend with. All in all, a nice 20th position is perfectly respectable & reasonable, hope the guys aren't disappointed! :giggle: The main thing is reaching the final, and they did that with flying colors! Hope they had a fun time overall, got some good promo in and made some new friends & acquaintances, despite this Eurovision year being rather.. tumultuous. Not an entry that was ever going to be everyone's cup of tea, but it had a fair amount of fans, and it was nice to present something a little different from our usual more beige output. :giggle: I imagine we're going to be back to ballads & pop songs soon anyway, and that's fine too, but maybe it showed some televoters that more unique songs in Estonian can still do well too. :giggle: So all in all a perfectly fine end result for our Eurovision season! Onwards to EL 2025 I guess!

Outside of the big names, i actually see this being one of the most discussed entries among "online music nerds who don't really even follow Eurovision", along with Netherlands who didn't even make the final.

It seems people really want ethnic music in the ESC, as it should be. Wouldn't surprise me if they get some calls from rock festivals who tend to feature a certain kind of acts as a novelty, now...
