I eventually could listen to everything in the mean time !
I'd say it's quite a good year, as there aren't very bad, amateurish or too experimental songs (I mean, Armastus for instance ). There are great nouns and great newcomers, some let down, but all in all, the level is great and great songs will stay in the semies. The only thing is that, like last year, there isn't songs able to warrant now a top-10 (I mean, there is no Kuula), but there are plenty of songs that can go to the final.
It's really hard to tell who will win. I don't believe that Sandra will win, but we'll see. All will be more obvious in the following weeks !
My favorite one is Tanja !

There are many good newcomers! SF 2 has more ''known'' artists, but not all of their songs are good and this lowered the average score of their entries. My top 7 from SF 1 is quite equal for me, I would be very happy if 5 real qualifiers come from these. SF 2 has less songs that I really like.

Dark horses of Eesti Laul 2014 might be Super Hot Cosmos Blues Band - Maybe-Maybe (has got very good feedback + was in juries top 5 in pre-selection) and Nimmerschmidt - Sandra (good feedback + very enjoyable song).

I agree with that.I really like Sandra but her song simply isn't up to her usual standard.If shed had a better song she was almost certain to win,now she isn't certain and many others have a chance.They have time to improve it a lot though.

So far my top 3 is...

1. Maiken Everything about it is very beautiful. I looove estonian in this song, but it would be a little boring to have an estonian ballad for the third year in a row.

2. Lenna It's a pretty song, but the electric guitar makes it sound amateurish imo.

3. Sandra Not bad, just a bit flat and disappointing. It never reaches any climax, but it is wrapped in an interesting sound. The intro is my favourite bit.

Nah. Being familiar with the works of Sven Lõhmus over the last 18 years or so, I didn't have high expectations for this. He hasn't done anything remotely as good as "Rändajad" since 2009 so there was no point of expecting anything of that level. I just dislike "Kui tuuled pöörduvad". There's nothing likeable about it to me.

Vöörad is sooooooooo good ! I already adored the songs that Tuuli took part. (Ride, Üle Vee, Ring The Alarm)
Ride and Ring The Alarm were my favorites for last 2 years, but this year there is a beautiful song "Fearful Heart", which got my full support.
I'll try my best to do the full ranking, but for now I can say that MiaMee is my current favorite and Vöörad is so good !
