Everyone is a hypocrite at this point! They always show only one part of the story. And pretends to be fair. Then they ban one country, because of war conflict. Then welcome another and stops everyone who is booing. Fair world indeed.
When it's about military conflicts, the EBU does what the nations do.

:il: and :az: just shouldn’t have gotten a place in this years contest due to their politics and political leaders, that’s it.
100%. Otherwise it turns into a circus, nothing uniting about that. But we gonna ignore that and enjoy the contest, I guess. Funny how they banned even scarf, but not countries.

Oh really? Who told you, your media, they stop every booing, don’t forget that! Whatever, let’s enjoy the contest, that’s why countries like had no place in this song contest, but oh well.
They simply are not if you would use more than 1% of your brain. Russia invaded Ukraine without reason or warning. It is very clear who the aggressor is in that conflict. As for the Israel-Hamas-conflict it is way more nuanced.
With that being said: The way latter conflict has been unfolding is 100% a tragedy and the suffering of the civilians is heartbreaking. I do agree that it would have probably been for the best if Israel would have withdrawn on it's own terms.

Edit: Also you do realize that I am a journalist myself, right? So therefore I guess I am part of "that media" you are referring to.

This is a song contest. So don’t talk about my brain, go and see how Israel invaded those people! Okay? That’s not on your news 24/7, neither are those people winning Eurovision, right? Enough with the hypocrisy, no war is good! End!

Well on that we can agree. War cannot be good under any circumstances. Still differentiating and being less emotional (I know it's hard) when talking about this topic should be the way to go.

Yes it’s a big pity for every Israeli wanting to live just in peace and also for Eden. She doesn’t deserve the boing. But sadly our hypocritical leaders of the western world and in case of Eurovision the EBU leaders are mostly blind when it comes to certain parts of :il: politics. And their hypocrisy is a booster for general antisemitism to a certain point. In Eden‘s case obviously it would have been better to leave :il: out of the contest to prevent the :il: act from such a situation.

Artists can barely hear anything with in ears in, i wouldn't worry about it

This whole situation could have been avoided if the EBU had just done the right thing in the first place
What is the "right thing" in this situation though? I said it a few weeks back already: This is a situation in which the EBU can't do right tbh. If they would have excluded Israel half of the people would be pissed and now that they let them participate the other half is.

I don’t think anyone out of Israel, wants their participation this year! Considering the reaction, the safety and the hypocrisy EBU is showing. But it is what it is, off booing system and pre-recorded performance it is, it seems they want to send a message no matter what.

I have said it before and I say it again. :il: Israel has the best ESC-song of 2024 in my view xlove

Even though this is a music contest, unfortunately due to politics it will be booed and will receive a much worse result than it deserves, probably ending behind trash and other poorer songs in this Semi 2. All credit to you though, Eden. Give it all you've got!

Ok, they announced israel in the fake qualifiers, the cheer was very nuanced, like a lot of noise but not clear what it is.

And yes, the entire israeli dleegation is gone, they showed empty seats.

I am really not too sure about that. Either way the pressure on the EBU on this matter is massive and quite frankly I wouldn't wanna be in their position tbh. It is a fine line and not everything is always as easy as it seems at first glance.

I don't care if people would be pissed, Israel has no business being in a contest founded on the basis of unity and peace, same goes for Azerbaijan.
