Lol Albert, after being I guess the only one not to get a second question: "could you at least give us a better chair [as no one bothers to ask us anything anyway...]?" :D

I really hope it will not be a reprise of 2010 for us (I know, back then, we were seen as a borderline qualifier) but I´m still nervous (And yes I felt that even with Loreen in 2012 and Måns in 2015)

Realest: to :au: defense, that song is made by the staging (that being said by one who is not very fond of it) I do wonder if they got hurt by not showing any sign of the audience in that performance for the TV (like Benjis little music video last year)

Australia is pure Eurovision, it‘s never meant to be on the radio.
I was surprised Greece did qualify. I considered it a fanflop actually (probably saved by juries). Nothing for the radios too.

It probably means nothing but at the moment, Belarus (33k), Czech Republic (22k) and Estonia (15k) have very few YT views compared to the other qualifiers, who are at least at 45K+ xthink

Cyprus (133K) and Greece (74K) are leading for now.

I find it kinda funny that Czech Republic and Estonia are the lowest on YouTube, given that they're actually the top 2 on ESCTracker: http://esctracker.com/

Interesting how different metrics can show such different things...

Who else went through this tonight:

“The 9th finalist is San Marino.”

WHAT. WOW. THAT VOCAL WAS HORRIBLE THOUGH. But I guess that’s cool that they made it.

OH WAIT. That means either Slovenia or Portugal didn’t qualify. OH MY GOD what if both don’t qualify?!?

It was a good show. Australia killed it. I am happy with most qualifiers. San Marino was obviously a shock, but they are such a small tiny country, so it's ok. Some good songs were destroyed by stagings - Belgium, for example. A good song, but meh. Estonia was a pleasant surprise - looked and sounded much better than expected.

I'd say they were helped a lot by Iceland. ;)

honestly imho there's more chance to see The Netherlands not qualifying than Sweden. And a lot of people think :nl: is qualifying 300% (= means Sweden will qualify too)

Even I think Sweden has a higher chance of qualifying(not winning...) I don't see Sweden making a mistake. For Duncan this is the first time on such a podium by a landslide, that being said. I don't see a way Duncan can ruin and not qualify. I mean false tones are not really important anymore :p

It's not really about Duncan or the staging, it's the song. I'm one of the few not touched by Arcade and people around me didn't understand why it was the huge favorite as some of my friends called it "boring" when I played the song (my mum that loved "Amar Pelos Dois" didn't like it). But we're for sure a minority as The Netherlands has so much appeal that it's not a coincidence, it's just people around me having the same taste as I have I guess.

I see Sweden having a bigger appeal (not winning though) so for me, both are qualifying 200%. I would have add Russia not qualifying but they'll begin SF2 with like 35+ or more points, it takes a girl on a mountain to Russia NQ.

Re: ESC United - LIVE from Tel Aviv - Semi-Final 1 family show and LIVE SHOW discussion

As for last night:

1. Cyprus - Expected much more from Tamta. I start to think this one is not going to win.
2. Montenegro - Expected not to qualify so it was not strange to see them go home.
3. Finland - Horrible choreography. The singer loook so strange at the camera during all the song. Barbara Dex award candidate.
4. Poland - Was not bad. I was not fun of this song from the beginning but the choreography was not bad.
5. Slovenia - I loved this song before the semi but I dont like now. Another candidate for Barabara award. Hardly to hear the singers voice. As for choreography both the male and the female was so frustrated where to put the hands so they touch each other in the nonsense way.
6. Czech Republic - The choreography was not bad and that's the mean reason why it qualify.
7. Hungary - I really dont know why this song is out. I liked everything on this performance.
8. Belarus - The queen of the night. I looooved this song from the beginning and happy for that performance. Good luck Belarus.
9. Serbia - So indifferent about this song.
10. Belgium - What a bad vocal for Eliot. Once I thought it's not the same guy that sings in the official video. Deserved not to qualify.
11. Georgia - Got what deserved Full point
12. Australia - It's Australia and must be in the final and not for the song. Most admit the choreography was good.
13. Iceland - As for me it was terrible. I knew it will qualify.
14. Estonia - Somehow happy to see them qualify.
15. Portugal - I really really dont like this song so...
16. Greece - Another song that I was indifferent but vocally and choreography was not bad.
17. San Marino - I was sooooo sure that this one will not qualify. How he manage to qualify and based of what I really dont know.

The end.
