This is a different case, tho.
Interactive visuals did make an impact last year, because I don´t remember when were they used previously before ESC 2015 (if you do have one specific example, please remind me).
The problem is that coming right next year with similar kind of staging will immediately make people think that Russia is trying hard to emulate Mans´s formula. I also got that kind of impression as I watched.
This is a different case, tho.

I'm on the opposite side on this one. I felt that the staging was way overdone. It looked like they were trying to do so many things at once. They could have cut back a bit on the gimmicks, imo.
