Alice Tumler is my personal favourite for the job as Eurovision host.

Not convinced about Andi Knoll though. He's eyecandy, but I am not sure if he's capable of hosting a non-german show. Besides that, I don't think his jokes would work.
He already has a strong Austrian accent in german, so thinking of him speaking English or French worries me already.

His English seems pretty good in the video I added in the article though. Not sure about French, but Alice would have that covered anyway.

Fair enough, apart from many red herrings, wrong grammar and missing vocabulary, he sounds capable for reading from a prompter. Nikolaj Koppel could do that as well for French. Stefan Raab's English four years ago sounded worse.

I watched the Federica Falzon interview with Wiwibloggs, and I got an idea for a new rule for the contest. The host country should perform first in the running order and open the show. This way that, if they continue letting the producers decide the running order, the risk of home bias is reduced. Also it'll give the host country a poorer chance at winning again, allaying fears of a cash-strapped host broadcaster. Thoughts?

It surprise me that no one has never even spoke about that the running order draw before could be rigged.

What do you mean? Tbh I prefer that the finalists of each semi pick their numbers instead of a completely subjective draw made by the host broadcaster.

Escunited invites you to the Australian Eurovision party http://www.escunited.com/home/escuni...ovision-party/ The Australian Eurovision fan club organizes an unforgettable big party at home and you are more than welcome. This time, the city that will breathe the purest ESC atmosphere will be Perth, the capital of Western Australia. The organizers of the party will be two truly ESC souls, we’re talking about Kate Hansen and Kohan Ikin. Kohan’s Eurovision’s first time was in Düsseldorf 2011. Kohan and Kate went to Malmö 2013 and Copenhagen 2014 as well. Who can be better organizers?

If I were you, I would change your Saturday’s plan. This party promises so much fun that you will need to rest until next May. Australia spends nights awake watching the contest live since 1974. The world’s sixth biggest country is more than ready and welcomes you to the Southern hemisphere’s biggest party. What are you waiting for? Wear your best clothes, take your local (or favorite) flag and wave it. Okay, leave your flag at home alone and come to Down under, Perth is waiting for you, don’t be late !

Do you want to know more about the place, timetable and everything? Sure, Escunited is here to make Eurovision be part of your life. The place where your body will dance ESC melodies will be The Court, located in 50 Beaufort Street. The venue is just five minutes away from Perth train station. What can be better? Keep reading, there’s much more to tell you.The Australian Eurovision party will start at 8 PM with three hours that will make your ears (and full body) swim with the waves of the very best sound. Also, there will be interviews by Terminal Three (http://twitter.com/TerminalThreeTV). The Earlybird tickets cost $20, five more at the door. Tickets include a drink besides a sparkly gift. Do you want evern more? Come to Perth and discover Aussie’s Eurovision’s heart.

You can buy your tickets at the next link:

Australia working on 'building bridges' to Vienna

Australia working on 'building bridges' to Vienna http://www.escunited.com/home/australia-working-on-building-bridges-to-vienna/

Jessica Mauboy performed in 2014 as part of an Australian interval act. Now SBS want to ‘build bridges’ to Vienna.
It’s no secret anymore that one of the contest’s biggest fans isn’t even taking part in the contest, but SBS of Australia has already announced that it will broadcast Eurovision down under once again in 2015, as part of their 2015 highlights article.
The broadcaster has also confirmed that Julia Zemiro and Sam Pang, the long-standing commentating pair, will be in Vienna once more for the 60th anniversary show and are ‘already working on’ how the country can ‘build bridges’ to Austria.

Surprisingly, the broadcaster hasn’t made a joke about Austria/Australia yet, but with a long way to go until May we’re sure that line will be crossed at some point.
Australia’s relationship with Eurovision has been stronger than any other non-participating nation, and in 2014 the EBU invited the country to perform during the interval act of semi-final 2. Jessica Mauboy sang for the Oceanic country with “Sea of Flags”.
