I think it really is the worst. Luxembourg 1983 comes close though.

Fully agree with the first comment, but then I read the second comment and

Trying to draft my top 10 of 2002, off the top of my head:

01 France
02 FYR Macedonia (underrated)
03 Estonia (I believe I can fly, part II)
04 Malta
05 United Kingdom
06 Denmark (studio version at least)
07 Cyprus
08 Romania
09 Turkey
10 Spain

I don't think it was a really bad year. Here and there I do listen to some songs sometimes. I kinda disagree with most of you. I think Latvia was a great winner. The song was very nice for that time, it was catchy and the performance was excellent. At that time I was sucker for that clothing-change on stage!! If done well, I would still dig that even now! I thought Maria had a really nice performance and after I heard her song, I knew she would do well (kinda hoped too).
My fave was UK, and to spoil your fun, I didn't like the French song. I did like all the ex-yu songs that year, even Slovenia, which was a guilty pleasure!  I also liked Estonia, Malta, Finland, Austria, Russia and Turkey (which makes 9/10 countries that Macedonian jury voted for  xshock). I also liked Cyprus and Belgium. Sweden and Spain were neat as well!
I actually thought Karolina would do better than that, because there were some rankings/polls even back then in 2002 on some weird ESC sites and she charted well there.

It's too bad that Lithuania changed their entry :( :lt: "We All" was very good song in those years (If we are talking about Eurovision 2000-2002 standards). They wasted the big change to win Eurovision, definitely :?

Okey, this is my Top 10 of 47th Eurovision Song Contest :) Choice was very hard, but I did it :D
1.:mk: "Od nas zavisi" - Very good ethnic song in national language, straight from Balkans. #1 of that year, don't deserved flopping on 19th place :? (least by me :D )
2.:hr: "Everything I want" - Just energetic and positive song from Hrvatska. Should be higher than 11th place.
3.:mt: "7th wonder" - Very light and cute song. Not on main award, but on high place yes.
4.:fi: "Addicted to you" - Really, 20th place ? Europe like catchy songs, so I have no idea, why it end so low xshrug
5.:ee: "Runaway" - Fresh and pretty 2000s pop song, perfect for that time. People rightly put it on high place. Deserved result.
6.:il: "Light a candle (Nadlik beyachad ner)" - Pretty and underrated ballad. Verses in Hebrew language, added a lot of charm to this song.
7. :es: "Europe's living a celebration" - Very happy song and another very good-sounding languages mix. I'm not suprised and I understand why that song was one of favourites to Grand Prix. But rather don't deserved to win it, least in my opinion :p
8.:lt: "Happy you" - I don't understand, why many Eurofans hate it so much. Live performance indeed left much to be desired, but overall song is very positive and simple. Of course, it was a great pity that B'Avarija didn't represented Lithuania that year. They had very big chances, to bring Eurovision to Vilnus.
9.:dk: "Tell me who you are" - Very good and ambitious pop song. I know that Malene wasn't in best vocal disposition at final night, but still it's too good to end on complete bottom, with only 7 points.
10.:sl: "Samo ljubezen" - Okay, being draq queens was small exaggeration, but they was funny, song was very catchy and their vocals wasn't even that bad.

Macedonia and Sweden were the best this year, the winner doesn't seem worthy really, but I'm happy it did, I really like it. The stage was strangely great, like it seems really small and blocky but it works, strangely enough. My favourite thing about it all really is the hosts, specifically Annely Peebo. Her voice is just so magical.
