Now I will totally puzzle you cos I hate the 80s
But trust your instinct, I think your songs are always great and in fact I´ve voted for them in the former four editions, I think.
From nowadays I would suggest the new song by Elton John or lots of tunes from Muse/Keane. From former times, you could try the Beatles with a non-too-well-known song preferably

+1 I really like some of their songs, for example their new one "Story of my life".

I experienced the hating trend in NSC with both 1D and Alexander Rybak(at the recap everybody was saying "woog song" before knowing who is singing 2)
