Sorry, can't hear you from my high horse.

So the unexpected success of Boneklezmer has let to Doire hosting the contest yet again. We're going to draw on home-grown talent to fly the flag in the final and give the local crowd something to cheer about even if it does come last

A terrific 5th place for Somebody's Child ensures Doire have gone direkt til finalen in NSC 190. And to commerorate, something a bit different and cheesy but I've been listening to this band a lot as I'm currently learning Irish:

Ohhhh after googling the band I realized I'd heard them before, in this amazing arrangement of a traditional Irish song
They're most known in Ireland for their cover of Avicii's Wake Me Up but their cover of Oro is frightening and haunting, which reauly suits the song's theme as a call to war

So, bhuaigh muid arís. Another shocking victory for Doire brings our win total to 6 and I've been really blown away by how well we've done since January 2020 (at least the pandemic has been good for something).

Anyway, representing Doire on home soil is:

Another PQ for Doire means we have reached our 8th final in a row, making it a new record for us! Can we get an even more unprecedented 4th PQ in a row? Probably not, but sending Irish artist seems to be lucky for us in 2021.

Hello friends.

NSC 194 will be Doire's 120th entry, as as with our 60th entry, we will throw a national final to celebrate the last 60 editions! 7 previous artists that have represented Doire since NSC 135 (our 61st entry) will be invited back for a special National Final - Doire has never sent a returning artist outside of these special NFs, so it is an occassion not to be missed #plsvote

More to come later.
