Ok dear, don't remind me of that Slovenian 2008 mess... green and purple didn't really go together unless she wanted to look like a vivid, upside down aubergine

In Slovenia's case it wasn't the outfit that ruined everything. It was that WTF staging!

Finland won for the first time ever in 2006 with "Hard Rock Hallelujah" sung by Lordi. At the time I didn't like the song much, but since then I've found it fun to sing on certain types of extreme ride at amusement parks. Lordi will long be remembered for their monster masks and costumes. Mark my words, had it not been for their monster outfits, they wouldn't have won.

Stage outfit (like a inter alia appearance or performer) of course could affect positively or negatively on final score, so I voted on yes.

I think so. Like Euphoria was going to win obviously, but I doubt it would have gotten as much points as it did if Loreen didn't wear that coat thing, that definitely made the visual presentation a LOT more appealing. Similarly Sabina Babayeva, Aliona Moon, Cezar, Ani Lorak, Sertab Erener, and Alenka Gotar clearly all benefited from their costumes.

I do think that outfits affect an entry's placing to some extent: :hu: 2009 ; :hr: 2011 ; :md: 2011 ; :ie: 2012 ; :rs: 2013

Funny thing is that Marija Šerifović, Dima Bilan, Alexander Rybak, Lena and Ell & Nikki didn't wear anything special, yet they won. So it may help some entries, it may ruin some others' chances, but in the end, the music is still Superior to the visual aspect.

Sadly, I think outfits affect the final placing. Not for me, but for others who might not solely focus on the music. I couldn't care less what the artists are wearing. I judge entries based on the song and nothing else.

^^ I have to disagree here, even though it is my own nation we are speaking of.

That was, imo, the worst :rs: entry ever. I am a patriot, but I am realistic as well. I think it got what it deserved.

Maybe you are right but there was much more worse songs who qualified and :rs: stayed out. IMO it is a good song not the best but still deserved to be in the final
