Germany had an awesome song that's why they won. Personally Im not too keen on Lena herself but I think she is a deserving winner. I was never very keen on the song until tonight and I have listened to it now non-stop since the show finished!

How could somone like Lena win?

After each perfomance has been heard, viewers in all 39 participating countries have the chance to vote for their favourite. This will be supplemented into a 50/50 with expert national juries from each country. These countries will then distibute ten sets of points worth 1 to 12 based on their favourite songs.

Once all countries have announced their votes, counties are assembled into a table format and the country with most points is deemed the winner.

Good one! I mean you should just stop feeling bad for Turkey being 2nd. You've no idea how many people would want to have their country in 2nd and potentialy even get prequalified. :shock:

What a runaway victory !!! This is unbelievable! I'm so happy, it's unbelievable. I was not yet born when Germany won in 1982, so this is a real sensation for me... a very special night which I will never forget.

People predicted the closest result ever lol. Well it was close but only as far as ranks 2-6 are concerned

I feel kind of sorry for Safura (NOT for Azerbaijan, but for the GIRL!), to be honest. She was the clear favorite, it must be tough for her to do worse than last year's entry when all she aimed for was victory. The draw killed Drip Drop, obviously. She would have come second with a better starting position, and Turkey third. Not first, because Lena was simply in her own league tonight.

I guess #1 in jury voting (that's 99% sure, I'd say) and also #1 in televoting or #2? She can't be just #3 because otherwise the difference to 2nd place would have been much smaller.

I'm looking forward to 2011 and thanks to everyone who voted for Lena!

After sleeping 3 hours ... I still can't believe it!
Lena will be in Germany at about 15 o' clock and then about 17 o' clock you can see her live in Hannover. And monday about 20:15 c'clock will be another show of TV Total!
