So, a gay aesthetic singer.

In the end, I managed to access the on-demand copy of DMGP 2023 Final on the DR on-demand player (whatever it's called), and I resumed watching it from about midway through Kalush Orchestra's performance of "Stefania". When that ended, I was able to see hte rest of DMGP 2023 Final, inlcuding the announcement of the results, and the winner's reprise.

So the winner is Reiley – "Breaking My Heart". It's certainly a lively, catchy song, but I don't like the way they've got the stop-start effect in the choruses e.g. "If we could go back to the start". Does anyone know how it's done (e.g. using a Vocoder or some control on the sound mixing desk)? Some may see it as being clever with sound technology, but I think it spoils those parts of the song. Anyway, congratulations to Reiley for winning DMGP 2023 Final. Denmark is drawn to perform in the first half of the ESC 2023 Second Semi-Final on 11 May 2023. Good luck to Denmark in the ESC 2023 Second Semi-Final, and in the Grand Final if they get there.

Well done also to Micky Skeel and Nicklas Sonne for getting to tonight's Superfinal, and to the other five artists (they too did well to get to the Final).

It's okay to not like Reiley's song, but Sweden 2018 (Ingrosso) was in the same genre, and that song did fairly well.

By the way, Ingrosso had backing vocals on his falsetto parts, too.

Better than I remembered, but the Autotune is too much. 6 Points.

i guess this has been discussed before but can he use autotune and the effect on his voice at eurovision?
it's quite cute overall but no really good imo.
i preferred the rock song in the superfinal but i already expected this to win

With heavy or glam rock the recipe is:
1.) Good vocal performance
2.) Some crazy shit
3.) A catchy melody
You need to meet at least two of these criteria, otherwise you'll fail at Eurovision. Sonne only delivered on one of them. His song doesn't have the melodic qualities of Blind Channel's or Wig Wam's songs, and it's doesn't have weirdness like we've seen from Iceland and Finland. But Måneskin then? Well, Måneskin's song was slightly more melodic - Sonne's is a wall of noise almost from start to finish.

Can't believe Denmark of all countries picked the best song tonight. Compared to their previous attempt this is great, it's giving me Troye Sivan vibes. A bit too much autotune, we stan a robot twink though.

Hmm...Is this better than Ireland? I...guess? :5:

Didn't it flop in the televote tho? I don't fully remember it. There are no juries in the SFs anymore. I think these type of songs could struggle a bit from now on but we'll see.

This is a terrible evening. First Estonia and now this. Well. 4 Pts.

"Breaking My Heart" and "Bridges" is the kind of song where I go "Okay, so many people like this type of music - I'll have to respect that". But I'll never love these songs.

I'm not into all Supernova songs, but I think I agree on the choice made there.

Tumblr, mostly.
A perfectly adequate song. It's really on the cusp between "okay" and "insipid" so a :6: from me.

4 points. Not really my cup of tea but the song is well produced, the singer talented.
