It's obvious that Danmarks Radio have downgraded this year's competition. I still think that when they realized it was an extraordinary weak field, they should have done something to at least find one strong candidate for the selection.
When looking at Norway and Finland, I don't see a single Danish song being able to compete with any of the five best songs of those two countries.

Lovely song, and I think the best Danish entry to date imo
I would love to hear Danish on the Eurovision stage again, although I doubt it'll happen, anytime a Danish-language entry won they went on translated it to Eurovision for ESC (just like what Sweden always done) and it's just sad.
I know Danish might not be considered the "prettiest" language out there (I personally understand and speak Danish fairly good though, so I hear it from a different perspective I guess), but as a singing language it actually flows pretty well (imho much smoother than Norwegian... no offense to our dear western neighbors!), so it would be refreshing to have a language back in the contest after all these years that is rarely heard on an international stage.

Scandal in Denmark? Ben & Tan had an entry for MGP that was rejected although many already see it as maybe better than any of the other songs in the competition. The song is called Iron Heart and will be released just before the MGP live show.

Not as good as Yes but better than all the songs except Star lige her in my opinion. With everything currently going on in the world I really don't think Denmark wanted to compete this year. I have a feeling they will be in DMGP 2022 next year.
The Danish NF has always had it's fair share of detractors but at least had a certain level of defenders and supporters. This year it really seems like a universal agreement among fans that this NF is incredibly weak, myself included.
I am really worried about a 2016 repeat. I just don't understand what the Danish broadcaster was thinking here, it's almost frustrating and you wanna grab them by the shoulder and yell at them "What were you thinking"
At this point, I am starting to root for Fyr & Flamme, at least it's in Danish and has more personality than any of the other entries.
