Tiden er gået i stå

Du er kvinden, jeg еr manden
Hele gulvet er gået fra forstanden
La' os øve på hinanden

Tiden er gået i stå

I only know the band cause Jesper Groth, he's absolutely adorable in Stormester and he just keeps posting his song on his Instagram story over and over again

kinda hope they go all 80s in the live performance also with the camera effects.. I can see them win, because they are at least somewhat recognizable I guess based on their ig. We will see I think this is an interesting selection, not really competitive, but interesting at least.. hope a song in danish wins.

Much xheat to be had

Quite Wonderful

Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschon - Hojt over skyerne
The Cosmic Twins - Silver Bullet

Decent Enough
Claudia Campagnol - Abracadabra
Emma Nicoline - Star lige her

Kinda Eh tbh
Fyr & Flame - Ove os pa hinanden
Mike Tramp - Everything Is Alright
Nanna Olivia - Hvilelose Hjerter

Some mess I don't want to hear again
Jean michel - Beautiful

Not a bad NF Denmark by any means, quite mixed over all but there is some quality songs in this for sure I can get behind - nothing that gets me super xheating though. I'm really liking Silver Bullet, but I wish they'd have done a bit more with the melody overall. Michael Rice Jean Michel song is terrible, I actively hate it. Watch it win.

My ranking:

1. Nanna Olivia - Hvileløse hjerter
2. The Cosmic Twins - Silver Bullet
3. Emma Nicoline - Står lige her

4. Claudia Campagnol - Abracadabra
5. Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn - Højt over skyerne

6. Mike Tramp - Everything is Alright
7. Fyr & Flamme - Øve os på hinanden
8. Jean Michel - Beautiful

A pretty weak selection from :dk: this year, a let down after last year :( In fact, I think they'll struggle to get out of the semi with any of these songs unless they're ready to do some serious revamping. 'Hvileløse hjerter' is easily my favourite and I can see myself getting really into it but I reckon it's pretty much chanceless here. It'll be a nice addition to my Spotify playlist though.

I'm pretty sure Jean Michel will win even though his song is some beige ass Michael Rice type rubbish, and we all saw how that went down

Has Denmark made a time journey and got stuck in the 80s/90s? I mean there is no song that's really bad, but none of them has something rememberable.
I honestly don't know whom I want to see in Rotterdam.

Top ones without enthusiasm:
Fyr & Flamme
Jean Michel
Emma Nicoline
Nanna Olivia

Borderline likeable
The Cosmic Twins (just for that name  )

Rather not:
Chief 1 & Thomas Buttenschøn
Claudia Campagnol
Mike Tramp

Horrible national final. I hate it when there are only basic and generic and inoffensive songs in such a line-up.

Emma should make it. I think she's got the most competitive track.

Apart from that, I think that Mike Tramp delivers something distinctive and unique.

One thing is for sure, unlike 2020 and 2019, Denmark won't be close to me Top 10 again.

All songs can be listened over here too:

My ranking on first listen:

(1) Emma Nicoline: The beginning intro is so promising. Love the 80s inspired synth sounds, reminded me abit of what Aly & AJ did for their current album. But there is nothing in the song that grabs me instantly. What a waste of potential, as I usually love such genre of music.
(2) The Cosmic Twins: Another 80s inspired track. Not that impressive, but a potential grower.
(3) Nanna Olivia: This is only one that sounds pretty current. But then there is nothing in the song that is interesting.
(4) Fyr & Flamme: Yet another 80s inspired track. Reminded me of Modern Talking. But the song is just OK.
(5) Jean Michel: The song sounds like it is released in the late 2010s by those DJs. Typical feel-good lyrics. Nothing impressive.
(6) Claudia Campagnol : I wouldn't have associated the track with such title to a ballad. Another OK-ish track.
(7) Mike Tramp: This is so country. Another OK-ish track.
(8) Chief1 & Thomas Buttenschøn: This is so 60s inspired. But it's just OK. Not a stand-out track.

Overall: Are we in 2021 or 1981? Three 80s inspired tracks. LOL. A pretty disappointing NF. Not a single song stood out and scream winner to me. Need the 'live' performances to change my mind. Ben & Tan's track is far superior than all of them.

Højt over skyerne - It is cheerful for sure, but this is really typical Denmark and probably gonna be one of the contenders. But oh Lord, please don't let Denmark pick this song, Amen.
Abracadabra - Listening to 'leaves falling, wind blows' is not a promising start. I don't associate 'abracadabra' as a plea for missing someone, although the rest of the lyrics are telling that story, so it leaves me conflicted. Nice vocals, though, powerful.
Silver Bullet - Can we officially kill the money chord when it comes to dance songs? I prefer this as a ballad rather than a dancefloor setting like this. The boys weren't also elevating the song, and in the end the whole song does not convince me.
Står Lige Her - Now this is something I like. The synths are well produced here, giving me some space celestial fantasy, and while it sounded like a Katy Perry song from the Prism/Witness days, Emma's vocals gives it an extra edge.
Øve os på Hinanden - This is funky and they're keeping it true to their aesthetic, which is a cheesy 80s sound. However, we also have a problem: the cheesy 80s sound, which not everybody would like. It's not something I'd like to listen regularly, but it's a solid effort and could be one of the real contenders for the win!
Beautiful - A cliche effort. I shall not continue to comment and move forward.
Everything is Alright - Well, I'd always love a legend entry any day. I like the vibe it gives, and it's refreshing for me to hear a song like this. It is kind of unfortunate since he basically have to leave Ayu Azhari and the children in Indonesia for this performance :(
Hvileløse Hjerter - This is funky, but sadly not going to be my favorite. I'm supposed to like this type of song, unfortunately it misses something that could've made it special. It probably stems from the hook: it's not as catchy as it should be, or that the base melody is way too simple.

DMGP 2021 is not something I'd look forward to. Either Emma or FnF could be satisfying winners for me.

O god ... what an awful NF ... there is no song I can support. Lovely Mike Tramp should have done a rock song (like in his White Lion era) instead of country. His solo albums aren't that fantastic anymore. But nevertheless, his song is still the one that appeals most to me though I think Emma will make it. Oh, and btw. Mike Trump participated at ESC looong before already (1978) with the band Mabel. They were on the 16th (from20th) place.

Mike is the second from the left:
