Didn't see it live, so can't give any Points yet. To tell from the lyrics Video, I won't expect much though

I think Denmark is just incapable of selecting a good entry, no matter the circumstances.... This sounds like something from an old Apple commercial, just absolutely awful and trivial, whimsy background music. And why isn't there any live performance at all?

The Danish national final for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, Dansk Melodi Grand Prix 2019, is now over. Here the super final results:

1st Leonora - "Love is forever" (42%)
2nd Julie & Nina - "League of light" (35%)
3rd Sigmund - "Say my name" (23%)

Congratulations to Leonora for winning tonight. The question is, how will she fare at the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 in May? That's a questionable matter. Although Leonora has a beautiful voice, and "Love is forever" is a nice ballad, I think the style of song sounds worryingly similar to Switzerland's "In Love for a While" which finished last with just 19 points in ESC 2011 Grand Final. Just like most countries, Denmark has to qualify from one of the semi-finals, and Denmark happens to be in the second semi-final on 16 May 2019. The UK has been drawn to vote in that semi-final, so I'll be able to vote for Denmark if I want to that night. If Denmark is lucky enough to qualify for the Grand Final, I think it "Love is forever" will suffer a similar fate to Switzerland in 2011. Time will tell. Personally I would have preferred Julie & Nina - "League of light" to win tonight, as I thought that entry was better, but that wasn't to be. Denmark has chosen Leonora - "Love is forever", and that's that. Well done to all ten artists who performed tonight, and in particular the three that made it to the Super Final.

Urgh this is not for me at all. I'm all about love but this is too much cute happy *the world is so beautiful* thing.. and it got big potential to become annoying in the next few months. The beat is a big no as well.

2 pts :/

Lmao Denmark even with the most bland NF line-up you still managed to mess it up. This was my 8th favourite out of the ten songs. League of Light robbed. 3 points.

THE GOOD:
-The simple instrumentation works for this song.
-The vocals have just the right amount of sweetness.

THE BAD:
-While I said that the instrumentation works for the song, this song needs one more instrument, I feel. Maybe a bit of violin?

THE VERDICT:
We could be going to Denmark again in 2020 because this song is the right kind of sing-along simple. Normally, having multiple languages in a song muddies a song, IMO. Here, however, the addition is done really well to where it doesn't distract too much from it. Overall, this is a really sweet song. It's also a bit quirky, too. With the right staging, this might be the winner. 10 points

I think Denmark did the right choice. The song is really really cute, the performance is interesting and memorable and she does it well. I am surprised that I actually like the danish entry for once. Good choice Denmark! :D

I'm sorry but this song is mediocre for me. It's not bad I mean she is cute and the song is quite memorable but on the other hand I really don't like the chorus. For me this song doesn't reach a climax. 4 points for now.

Finally the live version is updated on Youtube so we can enjoy it! Its a nice song with a proper staging that deserves a better poll! :(

This is really sweet. Unfortunately Leonora does have a slight Juri Pootsmann-syndrome on stage, but hopefully that can be fixed by May. Very reminiscent of Switzerland 2011, but better. 7 points.

The lyrics are unbearable. The singing is annoying. The green screen is tacky. The overall package is incredibly twee.

3 points, only because the song somehow managed to have a little charm to it despite everything being so, so wrong. It's like if Lena, Anna Rossinelli and Zoë (who are just about listenable by themselves) were cloned together as one, and that's going too damn far. I'm moody and can't handle this kind of stuff at the moment. Too sickly sweet and irritating.

This is just completely going to drown in the sea of acts who try to stick to your brain. The down to earth vibes only work if its fine-tuned to perfection like :pt: 2017, but here it’s not even close

In my opinion the right choice , in a rather weak selection of songs.
The song itself it quite enjoyable, although I normally really dilslike sing-along-cheerfully-happy-songs. In this case it's not the song itself that represents it's weakest link; it's the singer. She seemed rather stiff and too serious on stage. Not much carisma there.... And the vocals where definitely not spot-on liker they should be.
But I will reward the whole act 7 points .
