Like always Denmark is between my favorites. I personaly adore this song, but I'm afraid it will be lost between so many songs. All depends about Soluna and how she will give a personality to the song. She can do very well and also can flop.

Well, one thing is what the ESC-fans like, another is what the average European like. I for one think a lot of people will prefer good and honest music instead of dated, 90's-inspired dance-music, but only time will tell about that.

Imo Soluna doesn't only have a way better song than Loreen, she also manages to communicate with the viewers while on stage. In comparison Loreen seems way too much focused on herself on stage and she lacks that delivery which I think is completely vital in order to win ESC.

When Soluna came out on the stage of our NF, people started clapping but she didn't take her eyes off the ground or off her guitar and didn't even smile...

That's totally opposite of Loreen who is very humble, nice and always cheers to the public. I was at Globen for the MF general repetition. I stood behind the catwalk which the performers make their walk to the stage. Most singers didn't care to cheer to us who stand behind them. They only start their walk to the stage or only cheer to them in front of them. But not Loreen. No she cheer to the whole public in Globen even us behind her. She is the singer I took the best photo of just because of that. I was so happy when she turned around and cheer and smile to us!

So Soluna has a much more charming and can communite with the viewers?? Not what I have seen. Loreen is much better on that. As I said in the Sweden thread: I love to have Loreen as representative for Sweden not only because her amazing performance and song but also for her humble and very nice personality.

Each to their own. I didn't feel this presence and communication with viewers when I watched Melodifestivalen on TV, so I guess I must've missed something there. To me she seemed rather arrogant and into herself, but then again, each to their own. Maybe the fact that I'm not all that into the song in the first place affects my view on her somehow, I just don't really feel her. She seems kind of artsy-fartsy standing their on stage but the song, which is rather banal and cliché imo, doesn't really live up to this image at all.

The times I've seen Soluna on stage as well as interviews, she's seemed humble and genuinely nice, so I don't recognize what you're saying at all. I don't think our song is a masterpiece (we're far from that), but Soluna has that charm and honesty which makes it so difficult for me not to like our song this year.

Well, then we will not getting anywhere in this discussion if you think Loreen is arrogant and into herself because that's simply untrue. She's very humle, nice and care about the public. I was in Globen myself so I should know.

For me Soluna seems to be arrogant and into herself. As an another person just pointed out, she didn't even look up on her public before her performance. Why that if she's so humble, and good against the viewers?

I totally agree with you. Should've Known Better is 10 times better than Euphoria. But Sweden will win this year. It's so obvious :/

What a load of crap seriously humans never fail to amaze me. Loreen arrogant? You have to be danish, with this small time little brother complex still angry you lost the wars 500 years ago :) HAHA
PS. everyone should really leave personal insults and name calling of pesons they dont know out of it. Its just very low to attack the person because you dont like the song or the country for some reason.

Weird please explain, why all international polls and national polls, the betting sites, youtube and radio in different countries tells another story? all these seems to prefer Euphoria rather the the danish entry? but everyone is wrong right? :)

xrofl3
Even though i'm half danish and grew up in Denmark i agree that it's ridiculous to call Loreen phony and arrogant. Just because she tries to do something a bit experimental with her performance she is 'artsy-fartsy'.
As you can tell, "janteloven" is still reigning over the danish mentality. Someone like Soluna is more acceptable in Denmark because she's basically more boring..

Oh here we go...so because I'm danish and I don't like neither Loreen nor your song it just has to be due to some kind of little brother complex?

Gimme a break...you could send a a choir of one-legged barking dog to ESC and you'd still receive our 12 points. Most danes will blindly follow your lead, I'm just one of the few ones who happen not to like it, simple as that. So if you think my comment is rooted in some kind of completely non-relevant historical era, then it probably says more about you than me.

My critique was aimed at the Swedish song, not the Swedish nation. Your comment however has kinda proved to me that those two things might actually go hand in hand after all.

Music is a matter of taste, so no, everyone aren't wrong. You can't argue against taste and I never did so either. I just stated my opinion on what I think the average European might like (hereby not including ESC-fans).

I'd like to see some international poll with no attachments to the ESC-community as I'm still yet to see one yet. And no, SVT's polls don't count.
Betting sites? Those are based on predictions based on what people might like, not actual preferences. Unless you're a fortune-teller I doubt you're able to tell what people across all ages and interests are gonna prefer in may.

What do you think about the draw? After Cyprus and before Russia?

Worst posible outcome.
We're sandwiched between two other big favorites so I'm afraid our song might come across as ordinary and bland compared to Russia and Cyprus which are far more up-tempo. I wouldn't even say we're guaranteed qualification although hope with all my heart.
