The song is a cover of this German Blümchen song !!

It's good though (like the "original" :D )

1. "Herz an Herz" is also a cover of a Pasodoble song (80's neue Deutsche Welle)

2. That would make "sing for me" also a copy so should have been disqualified as well a few years back.

Let's be realistic here: Are there similarities? Yeah, totally but is it plagiarism? That would be a No. If you look enough you will find a song similar to any of this years winning songs so far. It's natural but I enjoy all these plagiarism claims every year....it's always fun.

Come on, it resembles the melody even more than it was the case last year, and that song was already plagiarism (the song had parts stolen from different songs).

But hey, they got through with it in 2010 and they'll get through with it this year again. As some people have posted already other songs that resemble a lot to "New Tomorrow", it's basically just like last year.

I think this is a combination of the 3JS with the hair of Jedward!

But I like the song Denmark, very much!

But I think it would be disastrous if the Netherlands, Denmark and Ireland will perform their songs in a row!

No, this is nowhere near the 3JS. The song of the 3JS overall has more depth to it, the music is more grown-up and the lyrics are more profound and poetic.

First I gave it (the Danish entry) a # 8 position in my personal top 10 so far but then:

A. I thought it reminds me a lot of a UK indie pop song in the early 1990s that sounds almost exactly the same. I can't remember the name of that song and of the band but it had almost exactly the beat and rhythm (especially the drum accords).

B. It struck me that it's a bit like a 'slow version' of James - Sit down

C. Then I discovered Andreas Johnson - Sing for me http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UssxqXBpKbU

D. And now I see that it's also similar to http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tNOIG9TAgv0

So I must say I'm a bit disappointed in this entry. I can accept 20-30% similarity, but this is clearly TOO similar (over 50%) to already existing songs, so in my opinion they don't deserve a lot of points for originality.

Still for me it's a bit better than (say) Poland's, Romania's and Malta's entries that sound like Hundreds of other songs made in the past 10 years (Poland and Malta) or even past 25 years (Romania).

Ok ok, there are three songs that have much similarity with this entry, but I don't know that songs!
I just love this entry more and more!
And yes Mozz, I agree with you about the song of the 3JS. But I just listen to a song and decide if I like it or not. And I like 'Je vecht nooit alleen' and 'New Tomorrow' both!

This song is identical to the Japanese one! I have a feeling that both song singing the same man!
And if something similar was a sent from some of the eastern european countries, they would put it on the pillory! But when it comes from Denmark, then everything is fine!
And for me this is not OK, and not fair!

Personally I will boycott this song!!!!

@MaryAnny

Music experts have proven that these two songs are not similar (except that both girls have very similar voices)

@ scooby

I just tried to show you that almost every song has a look-a-like. I don't think Molitva was plagiarism.

To prove I'm right or not: let's start a contest in finding a double of...let's say Lena's new song? Everybody is saying that it's such an original song! Does somebody know a similar one?

I said the same thing before MaryAnny so I agree with you.

Even if you think that you composed something unique you will get a nasty Email from a person on facebook saying they found a song from Columbia that sounds exactly the same.

And I'm sure if you search through some 80's electro pop songs you will find something that may sound very similar to 'Taken by a stranger'.

Personally I believe people should just get over the plagiarism claims and enjoy the song or just ignore it.

The first two lines fit in the Japanese song, but not the rest. Yes, they look-a-like, but they are not the same. Matt has given us a good answer.
