99% people who watch eurovision every year do not care what happens in Feb or March. That's not a big deal
I'd say that's true for the final, definitely, but with all-televote semis it's a bit different.
I just think that it might have an impact on the betting odds and so far, I believe that juries as well as Björkman are often (mis)led by them when they rank all songs and come up with a running order for the semis.
I agree. And when it comes to

, whether there's any positive or negative hype behind them can have a big impact. Vesna's live performances were not great prior to the show, but the studio cut and music video were excellent and everyone held out hope for them. Compare that with the fact that Aiko's live performance at the NF stuck in everyone's head until May; she was great when it came to the show itself but it was too late to change enough people's minds. I think she might have just edged it if she'd had a bit more momentum.
Anyway, this having the first performance not be the version of the song we'll be hearing in May is certainly an odd way to do things but there might be some method behind the madness.
