no I did not know that but that means also that you think belgium will win in liverpool?I guess you didn’t know that Gustaph is actually Ukrainian
I think it´s love at first sightI don't get this at all. Does it need a few listens until you get it fully, or should I already be sold after the first listen?
Cool, yeah it's not really my kinda melody or groove, but wondered whether all these s were from people that had listened to it for a while and had grown to be a complete fan over that time.I think it´s love at first sight
If you don´t get it - or are not really into that type of Slavic sounds, this entry might not be for you.
I don´t think it´s a grower (aren´t growers typically more mid-tempo anyway?)

I can see the merit in it certainly, and it's performed with passion, so I'd probably go 5/6 for the effort shown.
Congrats on the experience of being able to be there. However the experience for stream viewer was rather underwhelming. The show seemed chaotic and if you ask me, even the location´s layout is not good. Happy for VESNA but this was a really shining example how NOT TO DO winner announcements. Not to say that a winner announcement should include a reprise of the winning song.I got among the 25 lucky fans to be admitted in and thus finally saw a National Final (of sorts) live. A small step for humanity, but a huge step for a Czech Eurovision stan
We got strictly separated from the artists and media, however I still was happy to see Pam Rabbit and Maella in line for coffee. Not a good opportunity to annoy them for selfies, but at least now I know Pam loves vegan shrimps and is absolutely gorgeous in person, which still has to count for something. Another highlight was Adam Mišík preparing to take over and eventually getting flirted with by (I believe) a Vesna girl - no wonder he was so confused afterwards.
Anyway, if Jan Bors express his wish on Melodi Grand Prix's broadcast to one day have an event of a similar importance, it might be embarassing, but he still has a point:
(Did I actually buy a brand new shirt for this? At least if I ever have grandkids, I can tell them the story about how an oscar winner and I watched a powerpoint presentation in the same room...)
Despite all these jokes, I am really really happy I could have been there
I hope we will see more newcomers and even veterans of ESCZ. The concept this year was good. Two separate shows with voting in between. And if money is less of an issue next year I hope for a return to 7 contestants and even 10.As for the results, I am happy with Pam's progression - from next to last in 2020 to 2nd in Czech televote this year. Kind of like Elis... Hopefully it's not the last try we have seen from these ladies.
I haven't seen the stream yet, but I can imagine. Of course, I really wish the delegation improves this in the future, but it's still baby steps within the margin of our budget. The team has something like what, 5 people? They really cannot do everything perfectly just on their own...Ok. I hope the girls and the national delegation will come up with a efficient and impressive staging concept.

The chorus is what sells it to me. The SESTRO KRASIVA bits are very strong, esp in studio.I don't get this at all. Does it need a few listens until you get it fully, or should I already be sold after the first listen?

Vesna have their problems though. I think the fundamental part is that there are *three* main vocalists competing for attention during a three minute performance. Vesna need to become a unit, and four different languages aren't helping their cause.
Secondly, groups are very difficult to stage esp if there's no clear (and charismatic) main. Tulia flopped for a reason. Good camera work and aesthetics will be of paramount importance to sell "My sister's crown" to the general public; but you also don't want to overstage by being excessive of doing something weird. it's balancing act, and one that's very difficult to find a working equilibrum for.
I dunno. Like, I really want to believe this is a top five entry and I think it can reach those high heights, but the road of getting there will be a rough path full of pitfalls. I don't know whether LOW EFFORT CZECH REP can pull this off successfully without the acumen of Jan Bors.
