I hope so. Otherwise I can see Czech Republic saying goodbye to Eurovision. If Czech Republic withdraws, I'll be withdrawing with them :(

When :cz: withdrew back in 2009, I didn't give a fck to their opinion, but now... WOW! I don't want them to give up!

I think certain someone (Bjorkman) doesn't want Czech Republic and other Central European countries in the contest. The contest has become a parody of Melodifestivalen revolved around Nordic countries, some Ex-soviet republics (Russia, Ukraine and Azerbaijan) and other chosen ones (Greece, Bosnia). If :az: :ru: :se: are in Top 3 again, then I will give up on Eurovision.

Well, I have no illusions about Dark Lord´s intentions, but to be fair, :gr: has even worse position.

Guys show some confidence! The song is without a doubt the best ballad this year and she is stunningly beautiful  She's going to make it!

I wish more people would share your opinion, but watch this:

I can really see :cz: not qualifying again. Ironically, Czech votes can contribute to such result, considering that in the same SF is notorious trinity consisting of :am:, :az: and :ru:, for which minorities in the :cz: actively vote every time, no matter what they are sending. :( And with the draw... I am really skeptical now. (But I still like the song, of course).

OMG I know everyone has different taste in music, but these people... :? they don't know what a good song is :( I watched other public reviews with the same people and some of them liked :me: (!)

I'm really, really, really hoping now that Gabriela is able to muster up a strong performance to qualify.

Hopefully, there'll be enough fan furor from the rather questionable draw (not only this entry, but others ones as well as other things SVT has done) so that we could see some revising of these new rules for 2017.

That'd hurt my little heart if :cz: decided to withdraw after 2 great years of competition for them.

Czech delegation seems to be quite enthusiastic towards Eurovision. Jan Bors, the Head of it, said in November:

Eurovision Song Contest is one of the most prestigious television projects worldwide. Eurovision in Vienna was a high quality production with perfect performances and I am expecting the same from Stockholm. It is difficult for every country to find the right song and the right singer, but my job will be to present a competitive song to the public. It will be hard to reach the same success that the Czech Republic had this year even though the Czech Republic didn’t make the final, I’m still very pleased with the result in Vienna. Czech Republic’s experience this year showed what is needed to choose the right song and representatives. For next year we will do the same and make our choice internally. Composers are already sending their songs to our broadcaster, which shows that there is interest for Eurovision in the Czech Republic. Now we are hoping that we will make the right decision.

It doesn´t look like another non-qualification should lead us to a withdrawal.

However, what I fear much more is possibility of withdrawal due to win of Russia. For reasons I cannot openly talk about here but I believe they are quite obvious, ČT would have face a big moral dilemma whether to send Czech representative to Moscow or just skip the 2017 edition. And I imagine that some other European countries could have the same problem. But I might be wrong.

The Czechs had a great song last year and this is even better xheart. But the draw :( Gabriela is wedged between Russia and Cyprus and I think their songs will be loved by the public, and they might forget Gabriela... This should really qualify! I hope it does but the draw might give Gabriela some problems. I will just keep hoping for them since they really deserve it after all their flops...

However, I fear that this year might be another DNQ :( Prepare for #IStandWithGabriela ;)

In the bright side, having a nice ballad with a strong performer between a somewhat dated pop song and a pretty capable rock song might help her stand out more.

This is probably why they placed the Czech Republic in that slot. I'm still hopeful that the Czech Republic is gonna qualify!!

If Sweden or Russia send that we'd talk about their potential of winning however since it's Czech Republic, we're talking about their chances to qualify. Isn't it the same contest which Lordi made Finland pass to the final and win for the first time?

Lordi was a very unique band and they stood out in the contest - we had never heard similar music before they represented Finland back in 2006. Similarly, Conchita was very unique performer with intriguing performance so, even though she represented one of the most miserable countries in the contest, she won.

I think that everyone has a chance to qualify and we can never be quite sure as Eurovision might be very unpredictable (:ua: 2007, :sm: 2014, :is: 2014, :il: 2014, :mt: 2015). Having said that, certain countries are at a big advantage (e.g. :ru: - I don't think that Alexey Vorboyov would have qualified to the final in 2011 if he had represented, let's say, :md:). Now that broadcasters can manipulate the draw, the things will get even worse.

I don't agree.
However i agree with you about the "uniqueness" topic.
