First off, it's a "she" and 2nd, it was about Turkish CYPRIOTS or something like that. I know I didn't mention that part. Of course, it' not about mainland Turkey. ;)

There is not such thing in Cypriot Turkish too, as far as i know.

Re: Cyprus 2011 - Christos Mylordos

As my Greek teacher explained to me that the -ou ending is for TURKISH names, I guess they're trying to hide his identity.

My surname ending in ''ou'' too, but i'm Greek :p

Re: CYPRUS 2011 - Christos Mylordos

Today the Cypriot jury has selected the entry to represent Cyprus in this years contest. Christos Mylordou told us from 11 songs the Cypriot jury has chosen the song.

The song is called “Σαν άγγελος σ’ αγάπησα” (San Aggelos S’agapisa = I Loved You Like An Angel). The song was written by Mixalis Antoniou (OGAE Cyprus president) and composed by Andreas Anastasiou (Esctime owner and journalist). A total of 11 songs were received and possibly more, but regardless of the amount of songs, the entry to represent Cyprus has been decided this afternoon.

Christos Mylordou hit back at critisicm about his live singing saying, “I don’t care what they say, you’re going to see how I can sing and believe me, I’ll give my best!”

Cross our fingers for a miracle?!
The title makes me hope that it will be NO pop song,
but something with traditional elements..!

What is the music like?
Christos: It’s a slow ethnic song and it’s going to be a surpise when you hear it!

It will be propably hasapiko or zeibekiko, these two are the most known slow-ethnik type of songs!

Some courses from Cyprus claim that the song is a ballad with balkan elements.

I don't think that the song is ''hasapiko'' or zempekiko style...A ballad with Greek language and ethnic elements is more sure for me.

Song presentation will be on February 21st.
San Aggelos S’agapisa is a ballad that combines different rhythms with rock elements in Greek language.
