It is very sad that Cyprus did not qualify.

It was points in Latvia's vote.
In the 1st edition it was really not my cup of tea (somewhere in the bottom), but this time it was great song.

Just to make sure that nobody will expect something else, and then be disappointed (because I said something about "best Cypriot musician according to many" and people might have fake hopes), I wanna mention that you shouldn't expect a pop star with massive and well known hits! The songs are not mainstream or pop at all, so if you like only mainstream music, then most probably you will not like them, but on the other hand, if you are a lover of world/more deep music, I expect that you'll like the songs, at least some of them!

ALKINOOS IOANNIDIS

Alkinoos Ioannidis (Greek: Αλκίνοος Ιωαννίδης; born in Nicosia, September 19, 1969) is a Greek-Cypriot composer, lyricist, singer and orchestrator.

He released his first studio album in 1993, and since then he released 10 albums. Many songs of him are considered as classic and he became the inspiration of many young singers in the Greek music industry. His songs were covered by many artists, and were performed in most talent shows in Greece! He is a person who works quietly and people don't know many things about his personal life, because he speaks through his music and only! I hope he will be appreciated here, I think he deserves it!

We chose 8 songs, the decision was hard but we just chose the 8 songs we liked most from him!

Let's start with a rock ballad. The live version of that song has over 5 million views in youtube, but I used another video because that one didn't have good audio quality...

One of his most known songs. Rallia Christidou ( WV2) performed that song when she was in talent show Fame Story.

Year: 1995
This song speaks about Bosphorus sea (the strait that forms part of the boundary between Europe and Asia). Mario Frangoulis covered this song in a live concert.

Year: 1997
This song was covered by many artists, including Eleftheria Arvanitaki and Haris Alexiou.

Year: 1993
Probably his most popular song! I uploaded this video because the one that existed in youtube was of very bad quality, so I uploaded it in high audio quality! Triimitonio performed this song while they were in X Factor.

Year: 1999.
The lyrics of this song could be understood only by people who really loved!


(=The world that changes)
Year: 2003.
Let's rock a little bit now! I think the most uptempo song of this NF! I'm sure this song was performed in the talent show Fame Story 4, but I couldn't find it anywhere in youtube...
