Marianne's Wish - "Hex"

Marianne's Wish was created in early 2011 under the guidance of composer/producer John Themis (composer of UK 2005 ESC entry "Touch my fire", and producer who collaborated with Cat Stevens, Kylie Minogue, George Michael, Rod Stewart).

The band is the result of a long standing collaboration between George Solonos, guitarist, and Chris J, drummer.

The duo are not strangers to success, both on national as well as international level. Their efforts landed them the honor of participation in four tracks of Tommy Lee’s “Methods of Mayhem”. Following this success, they teamed up with talented frontman Francois Micheletto and bassist Taf.

The result of this formation was the band’s debut album, “Add To Wishlist”, released by Infinity12 Records in February 2012. "Hex" is taken from that album.

They won the contest "Hard Rock Rising" of Hard Rock Cafe Cyprus, and they took part in the contest "Hard Rock Rising Global Competition".

The lead singer of the band, Francois Micheletto, was born in Cyprus to a French father and a Cypriot mother. Before joining the band, he was collaborating with Turkish Cypriot musicians in the Northern part of Cyprus.

The guitarist of the band George Solonos, composed and produced the song ‘Kathe Fora’ that made it to the Top-20 in Greece. He has performed live with opening acts for bands: Anathema, Paradise Lost, Katatonia and the legendary rock band Whitesnake (David Coverdale and Doug Aldrich.) In 2005, he was assigned to compose and produce the main theme-track for a high-budget Bollywood action movie called ‘Boomerang’. In 2008, he composed and produced the track ‘Katastrofa’ for the famous Bulgarian diva Desislava. He has appeared live on the BBC as Boy George’s guitarist for the showcase of his song ‘Yes We Can’.
