I’m so happy! As soon as Osijek jury gave 12, my fears were calmed. Then before the televoting was announced I saw an article on index.hr or slobodna dalmacija that people were complaining they couldn’t vote for BL and I started to panic!

I think he made a huge improvement already since Friday and it’s only going to get better before May. Both himself vocally and the performance. We have to remember that Dora always looks amateur and they’re only working with so much there.

Dora 2024 Final is all over. Unsurprisingly, the winner was Baby Lasagna – "Rim tim tagi dim". Well that was the favourite to win. After 15 low scores when the televote results were announced, I didn't catch the televote score for Baby Lasagna, but I could see they only needed about 9 points to win, and I guessed it would be much higher than any of the scores announced so far. I've seen a screenshot of the scoreboard on ESC United Forum, and from this Baby Lasagna scored 247 televote points, giving them a landslide combined score of 321 points (I've also checked Wikipedia and these scores are the same there). Congratulations to Baby Lasagna winning the televote and overall by such massive landslides. Although not my taste in music, they did well to win in a field of 16 songs. So Baby Lasagna will represent Croatia with the song "Rim tim tagi dim" at the Eurovision Song Contest in May. Croatia is drawn to perform in the first half of the First Semi-Final on Tuesday 7 May 2024. The United Kingdom votes in that semi-final, but time will tell whether or not I'll want to vote for Croatia that evening. Good luck to Baby Lasagna in the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 First Semi-Final, and in the Grand Final if they get there.

Well done to the other 15 artists that performed this evening, they too did well to get to tonight's final after competing in one of the Dora 2024 semi-finals.

Still not worse than Vodu piti. :geek:
But the selection of that act makes sense as Battifiaca is a known and somewhat loved TV personality. Whereas I found out about this lady from being rejected. Both songs are humourless so that makes them even I guess. :D

Thank you, Croatia! Very happy to see Dora not joining the list of 2024 NFs with surprise winners.

A huge, corny, melodic, dynamic rock song? Of course this is up my alley xheat

Obviously there are a few things to tweak with the staging and so on, but this is probably my favourite Croatian entry since I started watching the contest in the 00s. It joins my glut of five other "I don't know whether this is a high 10 or a low 12, or which is my favourite" entries at the top of my rankings - Finland, Ireland, Estonia, Belgium, Norway - but wherever it sits among those, I'm happy it's here. :12:.

P.S. Also happy to see my second-favourite, Vinko, scraping (a distant) second!

Baby Lasagne's phone number was completely blocked, for the first 5-6 minutes I couldn't give him a single voice. While other singers were voted for without any problems, because there was not such a rush on their phone numbers. Many have given up trying to vote for Lasagna, so with stable phone lines he would have won by an even bigger margin! o_O

My first 0 point this year go to lady lasagna or kaarija wannabe, kaarija from Ali express, copycat Marko purisic or lady lasagna.

I hope we will never again see zsa zsa at Dora again... And I hope he won't be near my favourites or try to take photo with them.

Okay, so this is one of the few non-Swedish entries i actually listened to before it was selected, and i'm already kinda tired of it. The novelty fades very quickly and i got a strong feeling this and other similar entries this year won't do that well because of the sheer overload of them, and there will be a strong backlash against them the next year, like in 2010 when the previous years had been full of crazy "joke entries" if anyone remembers.

So what's to say about this... i find it overly repetitive, though it's actually well structured, just think the verses and the parts leading up the verses could have a bit more variety. The vocal performance is actually really good, when he actually sings, which is only in the choruses unfortunately. The chorus is kind of catchy, but as i said, i think it might get buried when performed among the other somewhat similar entries.

The beat and rhythm guitars are strong, very good production, it's actually some of the most authentic hard rock in the ESC in years, the odd instrumental Eurodance part actually seems to fit in nicely somehow, and doesn't even feel like it's wasting time that could be used better, oddly. There's something to it, it just works, surprisingly.

I also don't get why many people dislike the staging. I think it's very on point with the strong black-white theme with just a little splash of neon colors. Maybe it's a bit empty and eventless though, but they can fix that without changing the visual theme.

So for now, i have this about equal with the somewhat similar entries by Windows95man, 5minuust, Bambie Thug... we'll see where it places in the end, but i doubt it will be among my top favorites.

@Fluke you come from Sweden? Do you know did Swedish band pain announce lawsuit against baby lasagna? I know his team bought sample of DJ Vega for rim Tim tagi dim. At least that's what I listen to on Croatian forum.

Why? Because of word komsija or Balkan? A lot of percentage of Croatian population comes from Bosnia and some from Serbia. Maybe even your family comes from Bosnia. Also Bosnia doesn't compete for years if you didn't know, but that is another topic. We shouldn't offtopic.

Serbia in Eurovision is very successful especially from 2000-2010. So I don't if that was a compliment?

Expected win of Marko considering such overhype for two months. Everything else would be a downfall of him considering everyone loves his faults, mistakes. Everyone defends him.... His vocals are bad,his outfit is bad, his song is copycat of everything. He is not a fan of Eurovision, he was rude and unprofessional to gay host, that host showed Markos hypocrisy regarding his statement never again to Dora....

What I like about him is that he is cat person like me, good English and catchy song.
